Pride_of_the_Clyde
If they play to their potential I love that Giant backfield next season with Brown and Wilson splitting time.

Sloop John B
The jets have no option but to rebuild and start again without signing some expensive old players. They wasted their best chance acouple years back by having Sanchez at QB

They wasted their best chance acouple years back by having Sanchez at QB Really? who would you have taken in the 2009 Draft instead of Mark Sanchez? Josh Freeman? Curtis Painter? The problem with the Jets is we have an extremely top heavy roster. Our drafting has been poor. In the last 5 drafts, we have had 10 picks in rounds 1-3. That's not going to build you a roster. Especially when you draft players like Vernon Gholston and Kyle Wilson in the first round. The majority of our picks last year didn't even make the roster.
Sloop John B
Looking back the Jets over the years could have been a lot better, Picking a tight end over Warren Sapp for example, passing on Jerry Rice and Dan Marino, picking a kicker in the 2005 first round and the Gholston pick.

I'd actually take Josh Freeman for them now. And within the next year or so I don't think that's unrealistic. The problem I have with the Jets, and I may be completely wrong, but from what I've read their new GM is a cap specialist that's never worked in a personnel or scouting department. That seems a bit shortsighted to me.

That seems a bit shortsighted to me. That's more bullshit from the NY media. He has been involved in every aspect of the job at some point in his career. He started out as a personnel guy for the Bucs when they drafted Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks and other key pieces that led to the 2002 Superbowl win.
Pride_of_the_Clyde
If I remember rightly Sloop, those two guys went quite late? Rodgers and Ware came out of that draft and obviously every draft has it's hits and missea but just in general it was fairly poor. Didn't Ronnie Brown go top 5!?
Paul Marnie
Didn't Ronnie Brown go top 5!? We drafted him 2nd overall. Tbh I loved Brown at Miami, I still have my Brown 23 jersey. If he didn't get so many injuries he could have amazing.
