GingerSaint Posted October 8, 2013 Share Posted October 8, 2013 Offense, defense and special teams were excellent last night for the Jets. Geno didn't turn the ball over and the run game worked well with Powell, Ivory and Goodson all playing well. I like how things turned out with Powell getting the heavier workload and Ivory and Goodson coming in to make the big plays. That will be a recipe for success going forward and hopefully Goodson can start returningg some kicks so we can get Clyde Gates off the roster. In that last drive from Geno, he got the ball out of his hands quickly and accurately and let the receivers make plays. They gained the YAC that eventually put us in FG position. On defense, I thought we missed a lot of tackles. The DL was dominant, as per, and Cromartie did a good job on Julio Jones although it looked like he was fouling him on almost every single play. Darrin Walls continues to impress me at CB. Always gets his hands on the ball and made a great highlight reel play when he destroyed Jacquizz Rodgers on a reception in the flat. Muhammad Wilkerson update: 7 tackles, 2 for loss, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble. Hopefully he gets the recognition he deserves after doing it on prime time with Jon Gruden calling him a superstar as well as many other superlatives. They are going to need to win games on offense this year and they have just been unlucky with injuries.
