So that's why they had to rip it all oot in 1997.

Would not surprise me in the slightest. I witnessed a pour on the taxi apron that had the consistency of soup - very runny soup. This was done during torrential rain in the middle of the monsoon season.

There was more cowboys out there than there is in somewhere that there is a lot of cowboys.

on a serious note: I heard that the British Authorities in charge of HK were frantically spending public money on all sorts of projects before having to hand the place back to the Chinese.

Could well be right. I was too busy working or getting off my tits to keep up with current affairs though, so f**k knows.

On a side note, the Chinese are the most fearless bunch of workers I've ever worked with. Absolute nutters.
