Staying at the MGM Signature, which looks pretty minted as its a Suite we have. Cant wait.

Couldn't have worked out better.....

Staying in the MGM the weekend of the fight!!

Brilliant .. that worked out very well for you.. MGM will be crazy for the boxing.

Me and 3 friends just booked Vegas for the boxing as well . Didnt pay as much as I thought it was going to be. But we are staying at the flamingo.. some good and bad reviews on trip advisor.

anyone else stayed at Flamingo?

Cheers for that info . Yeah going with the lads , so don't plan on being in the room too much and heard its location is really good.

I've stayed at the Flamingo a couple of times and there's not much wrong with it. It's as central as you can get for most of the Strip action and good value for money.

I 've never seen the point of paying a lot of money for fancy rooms which you're going to spend very little time in. (Unless your on honeymoon or some such of course)

Seems like Vegas is a popular place to go for the people on P&B.

It's my first time going there , but two of the guys I am going with have been before .

Any recommendations for things to do over there ? Any bars or clubs we should try and go to?

You do know that MGM signature is a completely different hotel and isn't on the strip ? the fight is taking place in the actual MGM hotel if you had a suite in there imagine the hotel would be throwing silly money at you to give up your room.

For breakfast (if you see the morning) hash-house-a-go-go! Fremont street is pretty cool too, bit seedier but also quite good fun. There's loads of stuff to get up to, golf, gambling, hookers, drinking, you name it lol.

Breakfast ha ha .. Not sure I will be making breakfast . But cheers for the info .

I stayed at the Flamingo, but it was a while ago. Not the most up to date but relatively inexpensive with a good pool area. Its central position is a real bonus for visiting the rest of the hotels on the strip. A trip to the Hoover Dam is must, even just to break up the relentlessness of the constant bustle.

Booked a weeks holiday in August. Got me a corner suite at the Aria which after having a look at them on Youtube. I now have to start learning card games. I have never been into gambling but I am taking about 1K to spunk on the casinos.

Stayed at the Aria last year. Very nice. Tbf, they're all pretty smart on the strip though.

I have stayed at 6 or 7 hotels on different stays.

The Bellagio was awesome but very big and lacked atmosphere but I would recommend it for couples.

New York New York was by far the best bang for your buck and the location in excellent.

For a group of lads the you can't go wrong with hooters, decent rooms and hooters girls partying with you in an outdoor pool bringing you beers !!

Mandalay Bay was also very good but a bit far down the strip as is Luxor.

Go to the stratosphere (not to stay) get the monorail or the open top bus tour and hop off there, head up the tower and see the views and ride the roller coasters if you dare.

I was lucky enough to ride a helicopter down to the bottom of the grand canyon ( work trip) its expensive but worth every penny.

Stayed at the Excalibur, pretty good, have to say, very handy for the strip etc We had driven to LV from San Fran, with a few stopovers it was ok. worse was 44 degrees in death valley,( Furnace ranch, well named.)

Hotel ran coaches to Grand canyon via hoover dam, which again was a long day out.

Did you book your trip thru a UK-based travel agent? Reason I ask is that I have heard of countless people who booked a trip and stayed at the Excalibur. My sister went for 6 nights and chose that place. For an extra $150 (£100) per person (not per night, for the whole trip) they could've had the stay at Wynn or Encore. Blew me away when she said she'd rather just save that money. Nuts  I'm convinced some ABTA or whatever the UK affiliation is, get a kickback by booking the lesser properties on the Strip.

Also is the resort fees for a night is that for the room or does each person need to pay the resort fee ?

Just for the room, not per person. Usually just comes off your deposit at check-out.
