Mr Bairn
Sensational. I might just kill myself if that happens.
Reynard
Just putting this out there for the "SNP won't reach double figures merchants." SNP over 21.5 seats - 5/6. Paddy Power. What comes around goes around for the Labour Party it seems. I reckon theyll get around a dozen.
Desert Nomad
That latest STV poll has to be fanciful stuff. Who the hell have they been polling?
SodjesSixteenIncher
The "assumes a uniform swing" bit is where it falls down unfortunately. Some of the gullible, riddled with bigotry dumps will end up doing what they've always done. 22 or over would be absolutely GLORIOUS though.

George Parr
Promising poll but as previously noted many of the Lolbour majorities are fucking massive. It would take some stupendous polling for the SNP to get up and above 20. As things stand though, if even minor SNP gains can contribute to Lolbour failing to achieve a majority nationwide then I'll laugh till I'm dead.
Mr Bairn
Out of interest what are the 4 seats that would stay Labour?
Kyle
Out of interest what are the 4 seats that would stay Labour? From the STV article; The only Scottish Labour MPs who would survive would be Willie Bain in Glasgow North East, Tom Clarke in Coatbridge, Chryston and Bellshill, Gordon Brown in Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath and Ian Davidson in Glasgow South West.

Lex
It would be fantastic to see Labour annihilated, it won't happen though. As soon as the campaign kicks in they will start to pull away in Scotland and they will win the most seats comfortably. Popular vote figure will be interesting though, SNP could win that.

MarkoRaj
Why is everyone so convinced that labour will pull away again? Has this kind of poll ever happened before prior to a general election?
AberdeenBud
Can see Anne Begg struggling in Aberdeen South, only problem is the Nats were 4th in 2010 iirc
H_B
Why is everyone so convinced that labour will pull away again? It's one poll. Taken not long after the referendum. And at a time where Scottish Labour are in, even by their low standards, a shambolic state. Before the election there will be a change of focus away from secession as an issue and more towards the business of electing a new government for the country.
