Ned Nederlander Posted November 30, 2013 Share Posted November 30, 2013 (edited) You are correct about the tail rotor and what reduced directional torque would do to the directional control. Thanks for that - the 14 years working on helicopters wasn't a total waste then Edited November 30, 2013 by Ned Nederlander 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mr Bairn Posted November 30, 2013 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Interviewer to Murphy: "Jim, there's blood on your shirt." live on tv Shame for the guy, innocent passer-by but because he happens to be famous, he's gonna be taken to town over this Poor man is struggling to speak 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~ Posted November 30, 2013 Share Posted November 30, 2013 we only have one type of helicopter in service, we have more than one helicopter Ah, that makes a bit more sense 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Fife Saint Posted November 30, 2013 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Even if they did have such a thing, the helicopter was apparently tumbling out of control so doubt something like that would come in to play anyway. Strange that if the helicopter was dropping like a stone as Gordon Smart described that it didn't just trash the whole pub though. Or he could just be a sensationalist with an agenda. Same goes for the failure-riddled MP who just happened to be driving by and ran into the myopic scene to form a human-chain to pass the victims to safety. Scottish fiction. -3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Shuggie_Murray7 Posted November 30, 2013 Share Posted November 30, 2013 These journos aren't half circling like sharks here. Every 30 seconds one pops up with some sort of recording shite. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Shuggie_Murray7 Posted November 30, 2013 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Murphy clearly isn't embellishing his story. He stood by the door way and helped people out the boozer. He's clearly still in shock. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Why would someone type shite like that? The guy didn't appear to be hogging any praise, indeed he stated people did a lot more than him, sometimes people are just being genuine in bad situations, this appears to be one of those situations. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ad Lib Posted November 30, 2013 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Jim Murphy may well be an utter b*****d in every-day politics, but any suggestion he is glory-hunting here is moronic. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
