Sergeant Wilson
I used to watch when they were extending the Airdrie train line through to Edinburgh as well.
mozam76
At least I'm not the only one I quite often look up stadiums on google street view as well Same - nothing about it squire! It's actually quite fucking if you ask me.
RandomGuy.
Looks like a massive white elephant as it stands. I know this is slightly off topic, but my favourite ever stadium was probably the most famous example of a "White Elephant". The Stadio Delle Alpi

thisal
I know this is slightly off topic, but my favourite ever stadium was probably the most famous example of a "White Elephant". The Stadio Delle Alpi I was at the Scotland v Brazil game in 1990. It looked jaw dropping amazing approaching it. Impressive inside, but the running track meant it was crap for watching football and the atmosphere was better in Genoa which had about half the capacity.

Yeah it was seemingly a completely horrific place to watch football. Something about it makes me love it though. The new stadium is outstanding aswell though

The new stadium is outstanding aswell though Whilst on (slightly) the same topic I also like to see on Google Maps where clubs old stadiums used to be, in relation to where their new ones are. No idea why, but I find it quite fascinating - obviously in Juves case it's on the same site, and the new stadium is indeed beautiful - but looking at where Brockville/Broomfield/Maine Road etc used to be. I think I need help.
Fear no foe
Im just glad I'm not alone in doing it! Don't care so much about the Scottish stadiums nowadays but if i were in an English town or city i would make a point of going to see at least one stadium, going to sheffield for a weekend in March so hopefully get a look in at one of the stadiums even if i don't get to a game I done this a couple of years back when I was in Sheffield, had a couple hours to kill so went looking for their stadiums, 2 cracking old grounds from the outside anyway. The other half was raging, think she had trailing round the shops in mind, not groundspotting lol.

7-2
Wolverhampton Wanderers http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-black-country-12416700 Artists impression: First Phase completed: The good news about Molineux is that it's situated virtually in the city centre. The bad news is the city is Wolverhampton.
Sergeant Wilson
I was on a cruise that stopped in Agos Niklas and when every one else went sight seeing I made my significant other walk up to the football park. Did the same in Dubrovnik and somewhere else in Portugal.
Mr. Brightside
Lyon are building a new stadium at the moment (which is why they can't afford decent players.) It's called the Stade des Lumieres, 58,000 seater.
jamamafegan
Bristol Rovers are also building a new 21,000 capacity stadium See, I don't like that. Too generic. Hate generic bowl grounds. I remember being on the pepsi max ride in blackpool and amidst absolutely shitting myself as it climbed ti its peak point just before the massive drop i remember thinking "oooh theres bloomfield road" Haha, I forgot I went to see Bloomfield Road when I was in Blackpool. Insisted I would see it. While everyone else was at the fun fairs I roamed the streets of Blackpool to find the ground. Asked if I could have a look inside but they wouldn't let me because they actually did guided tours of Bloomfield Road
Sloop John B
Not a Football stadium but the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL are planning on building a stadium that looks like an anus, the triangles are a retractable roof.
morrison
Brentford FC http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25259607 Looks pretty decent, not your typical generic bowl shaped stadium. That has a bit of character to it. Do they need a ground that size? They're getting crowds of less than 9000 just now.
Smurph
When I was down in London for the England v Scotland game we had a whole day to kill before getting the wonderful night bus home. Instead of going to do regular touristy things, both SLJ and I bought an all-day on the underground and went to have a look around as many stadiums as we could. We managed Craven Cottage, Stamford Bridge, Loftus Road, Emirates Stadium and Upton Park, after going to Wembley for the game. Been to the Emirates twice already but we couldn't get to White Hart Lane unless we walked for ages so we just sacked it.

RandomGuy.
Has there ever been one of those "design" photos of a stadium, and the actual stadium built is completely different? Would be interesting to see the failed concept designs I remember Chelseas failed effort at building a new stadium Edited February 9, 2014 by RandomGuy.
Arbroathlegend36-0
you actually took your mrs to see the 2 stadiums? good man! I will hopefully get a game so long as tickets are relatively cheap, quite looking forward to going there anyway Both teams normally charge between £18-£30 for a ticket. We have Rotherham and Wolves on the Saturdays in March at home so both big games and I would imaging both being category A matches though which will cost you in region of £22-£26
