The Naitch
I laughed at this line as the Serbian entry looked like Cracker. Harsh on Robbie Coltrane IMHO.
Dee Dee
Harsh on Robbie Coltrane IMHO. ...........but, ultimately, fair.
bob the tank
The Swedish winner sounds like that David Guetta single with ray liotta in the video
callum-ayr
How Germany finished where they did was a joke.
kittrad
Regarding that, I think they already had their heads banged up.
Zen Archer (Raconteur)
Howdy sports. Australia to return to Eurovision Song Contest in 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-34841066
BFTD
Why not, indeed. Disappointing lack of digeridoos, stuffed kangaroos, and cork-lined hats in their last entry, but there's time for that.
Bully Wee Villa
Glad they're expanding the competition. Had a fiver on Islamic State at 1,000-1. PHREE MONEY.
Sooky
VOTING CHANGE ALERT!!! So basically, instead of combing the results of the national jury + national televotes, they're announcing the jury results separately but in the same manner they always do. Then the points for each country through televoting will be combined and announced by the hosts from last to first place. General idea seems to be to keep it more exciting right up until the end and try and ensure we won't be certain who has won until the very end. At first it sounds like it'll increase the running length of the show, but I guess they could easily announce the jury results whilst still calculating the televoting. Generally I'm resistant to most forms of change (I am after all a heartless Tory) but I think this could work really well actually.
The Naitch
Not convinced by that change but the proof is in the pudding and all that. At least it's something they can ditch quickly if it doesn't work.
Glenn Medeiros
This is great. I love Eurovision but it's over far too quickly. The show needed stretched, and they've found the perfect remedy. Well done to all involved.
Quentin Taranbino
Great addition I feel. Would be happier if they scrapped the jury votes altogether
Quentin Taranbino
Also Sooky, when is it announced who our entry is this year?
Sooky
Also Sooky, when is it announced who our entry is this year? We have national selection back (God help us) on Friday 26th Feb where the public will pick between a shortlist of 6 acts who'll perform on the night. That, and the semi-finals, will now be on BBC Four due to the demise of BBC Three. All six entries will probably be horrendous.
Quentin Taranbino
Interesting stuff. Do we know who the 6 acts are yet? I'm assuming a selection of failed x factor acts and 90s pop stars?

If BBC4 cancel another miserable Scandinavian detective drama over this I'll be writing an angry letter, mark my words.

Don't forget the obligatory auld yin you assume had died years ago. Who's likely this time round? Lulu? Cliff Richard?
Bully Wee Villa
We'll go with some generic pop shite, as ever. Need to try something different, search for a British Lordi.
welshbairn
We'll go with some generic pop shite, as ever. Need to try something different, search for a British Lordi. Or bung an opera singer in to do some well over the top emotional aria. P.S. Something like this: Edited February 20, 2016 by welshbairn
Sooky
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0070hvg/clips Our 6 songs, one of which the public will choose this Friday, are all here. They're all really similar to each other, but I'd probably pick out Darline as my favourite on first listen.
