Can do both well- defensively astute and has filled in on occasion at centre back for us.

Exciting going forward, with a great engine on him. His final ball can be erratic though.

Prone to the odd mistake here and there, but in general I would think he would do well for Morton. Top lad too.

Sounds like a typical Duffy signing; Young, gives his all, brilliant attitude etc.

Must be decent if a top 4 SPL club snapped him up in Jan. Wright talks positively about him in this article;

Welcome to Morton Michael.

Welcome to Morton Michael.

Wouldn't read too much into that, St Johnstone needed cover at RB in January and Doyle was out of contract. He should be a solid signing for Morton though. As the other Alloa fans have said he will make the occasional mistake and his final ball is erratic, but he is generally good defensively and his pace and strong running make him a threat attacking down the flank. Tended to do well on the occasions he was drafted into the centre of defence too. Gives absolutely everthing he has as well. Good luck Doyley, deserves a chance full-time at Championship level.

I remember us being linked with Jamie Longworth in the Maitland days when he was playing with Kilbirnie! He has a very good senior career since. Coming off his worst season in the SPFL, it would seem, but at 28 he should still have a lot to offer and hopefully this move will get him going again. Happy with Robertson too, a solid citizen.

Hartley tried to get him 2012 as well from QP. Hopefully he can rediscover his form of a couple of years ago where he was a consistent scorer. It's not as if 7 goals is a truly awful total to be fair just below his usual standard.

Signs sound good in terms of potential signings to come too.
