RiG Posted February 4, 2015 Share Posted February 4, 2015 Meekings is reported to be frustrated at the lack of progress on a new deal for him. Very strange to have players like Raven and Meekings not be tied up on new contracts yet. Meekings was wanting a new deal as long ago as October last year yet we have made no progress. Some rumours circulating that we offered him a three year deal which he wouldn't accept. Heads scratched all round. RiG Posted February 4, 2015 Share Posted February 4, 2015 I think he's happy to stay for a further year, possibly two, but after that he'll be away. He has improved so much in the last season or two and is one of the best CBs in the league for me. As he says he wants to go back to England at some point so perhaps that will be his next move after us. Hopefully we get him for at least another year before that happens. RossP Posted February 11, 2015 Share Posted February 11, 2015 Josh Meekings apparently signing a 1 year deal as a compromise to the 2 year deal offered by ICT. He's always made it clear that he wants to move back to England at somepoint, so if that is next summer then so be it...
