I accept it’s not easy making permanent transfers for contracted players, as opposed to loans

Your posts would suggest otherwise. 😉

Much prefer a Random pie chart tbh.

'Subpar player' with a replacement value of 600k euro and happens to look like Dadi In the pic I just saw. Looks/sounds perfect.

On a more seroius note there is a French CH with the same name....

Celtic sign their centre half quota and I felt it was only time until Scales came back. Now they have three central defenders out until probably into September and absolutely no chance of him returning, this window anyway

It would be a surprise if Scales wasn't sold in this window David he is too far down the pecking order not to be.
Probably end up at Fleetwood.

I can see the sense of McGrath's signing in that

- he's a free agent

- we probably need a balance between players new to Scotland and those with experience here

- we need some more goals in the team

But it's not really very inspiring.

Jamie McGrath and an "Overseas" centre back may be registered for this Thursday's match against Hacken.

From Teklic to Jamie McGrath. Oft.

Curious to see who this overseas defender is.

Objectively and dispassionately, McGrath is an ‘ok’ player for this league.

But this is also a guy that:

- Stephen glass criticised his mentality for rejecting us

- I think cormack alluded to the fact he wanted too much money last summer when United signed him on loan

- part of an absolutely spineless United side

- clearly well down our list of targets given he’s been a free agent for a fair while now.

It’s just not a particularly great look for us.

Who's ahead of him who isn't injured wee willie?

I think he was suggesting Wigan wanted too much money rather than McGrath himself?

Aye. Wigan asked for us to pick up a larger part of his wage after the deal was verbally agreed.

McGrath to sign, say he regrets not signing in the first place and Aberdeen are a bigger club than he realised. Blah blah.

Football's a squad game, so while McGrath might - might - not be in our best 11 players by the time the window closes, he's certainly good enough to play a role. On that basis, seems a good signing to me. And if we've got a midfield that he isn't good enough to be a starter in, then we'll have a pretty good midfield.
