Quite arrogant when one of these new fangled clubs gets ideas above their station.

Sevco do that, and have recently been not very good, which is a perfect storm for us. Yesterday, our four best players were the three defenders and Barron. Rubezic is a different animal when he has Gartenmann and Jensen in there. The problem is that it sacrifices bodies and creativity further up the park - and if Duk doesn't recapture last season's form, that leaves us short of options and a tad predictable for organised defences to snuff out. Yesterday looked 'one game too many' for certain players that have played in the recent run -Shinnie, Devlin and Miovski all looked to be running on empty. Duk was playing as if his laces were tied together - and is clearly the boy that cried wolf with both domestic and continental refs. How he was deemed worthy of 90mins is a mystery. It surely would have been the sort of match that we could see what the likes of Sokler, Gueye and Vinnie could offer if given decent game time. Maybe the answer will be not a lot - but Robson surely needs to use the squad that has been invested in significantly more extensively than he has to date - despite it being somewhat imbalanced. If there wasn’t an international break next week we may have seen a few more changes. Robson maybe hoping to get one more game out of them before the break.
betting competition
8 players away on International duty with nearly all of them returning to training a few days before Dundee. We have 5 away games from the end of October which is going to be tough on the squad. tarapoa
They seem very un-Dundee under Tony Doc - expecting a tough match, probably similar to yesterday's unless we can make an early breakthrough.

No idea how you can assess Rubezic on yesterdays performance. St Johnstone must be the most toothless team in the league by a distance.

We should’ve won at least 2-0 on easy chances. I’d think they’re certainties for the bottom two.

I thought he came across well. We are hoping to add an indoor full size pitch at Cormack park. They are aiming to have a system to re-sell tickets in the red shed when people can’t make games to maximise the crowds there.

UEFA were apparently trialing an old school standing area in Frankfurt. This may in the future open the door to old school terrace areas again. The club understandably don’t want to spend a lot on the safe standing seats, as we are still aiming to move some day.

Nothing new really. We are working hard on monitoring players from less costly markets. We want a lower player turnover.

Nothing new for any headline writer, but there never is going to be at these sessions. What he said was interesting and he came across really well and genuine. With around 200/250 people present, I loved his opening line, which presumably he'd rehearsed. "Wow, some of the crowds at my previous club were less than this."
kingjoey
It cost around £500,000 to get Pittodrie UEFA compliant for Conference Group matches, including increasing the power of the floodlights.
tarapoa
With the fixtures against Dundee, Livingston and Sevco all being rescheduled (none due to Europe) - this now means our first scheduled 3pm Saturday home fixture of the season is Hearts on 9th December. This surely must be some kind of UK record - not sure if there is a database somewhere keeping track of such things?
Rodhull
Quite a few first teamers involved in the game against Fraserburgh tonight. Dadia will go down with cramp after a few minutes no doubt given how little he’s played so far.
