glensmad
Good post, am hoping 29-30 I have a feeling that may a bit optimistic. Last season it was 29 points, but only because Kilwinning were deducted 19 points, otherwise the safety mark would have been 32 points. The previous season it was 35 points, and the season before that saw three teams survive on goal difference, all on 34 points while East Kilbride Thistle went down with the same points total. RobRoyGuy
Meant to ask Saturday. Did Ardeer have selection problems or something. Can't imagine big keeper McCann losing 8 goals in a game he is still decent. Good win for Cumbernauld certainly helps their goal difference which may come into play. Markka
Five players out including the keeper, but Cumbernauld were ruthless in the first half and would probably have had us well beaten anyway.

No Chris Zok for Cumbernauld?
glensmad
The way Cumbernauld played on sat they'd have beaten anyone in the league, the problem is consistency. Promotion is still on for them but they'd have to play with the same passion as they did on sat, the next three games will go a long way in deciding promotion for the teams at the top You're spot on with that. Tonight Cumbernauld v Kilsyth Glencairn v Rob Roy Saturday Kilsyth v Pollok Maybole v Glencairn Monday Cumbernauld v Glencairn Shettleston v Rob Roy Wednesday 29th Shettleston v Kilsyth These matches will go a long way to deciding who is still in the promotion mix this time next week. glensmad
It was a terrific game at New Southcroft Park. Rob Roy were all over us for the opening half hour and were 3-0 up, then the whole game turned when Glens were awarded a penalty before half time. The second half saw us bring it back to 3-3 on the hour mark. Both teams had chances to win it but Rob Roy were hanging on in injury time, Glencairn nearly snatching a winner on a couple of occasions. Great entertainment, well done to both sets of players, and the match was played in a terrific spirit. Match report will be up tomorrow night. villager
Great result for the 'Nauld' tonight excellent back to back victories which keeps them in the mix for a play off place.Probably kills of any hope now for Kilsyth. Onwards to Saturday and another tough fixture against Thorniewood fighting for their league survival and already victorious at Guy's Meadow earlier in the season. You guys will thump Thorniewood , its a much changed twood side from earlier in the season, Bad few days for kilsyth but fair play to them they recovered from a terrible start and will end up in a respectable position . IrvineVicsMan
Things went brilliantly last night from a Vics perspective, Thorniewood losing and Neilston and Largs drawing. That means that no team in the relegation fight can catch us with their games in hand, everything is our hands now. People have doubted us all season and will continue to do so like last season but I think we can do it! Come on the Vics!
glensmad
It's beginning to look like the top two and the bottom four may not change between now and the end of the season, although Shetleston may have something to say about that. The safety mark at the bottom has come down to 37 points now and will continue to come down a good bit yet over the next few games. Meanwhile we have several teams all chasing the play-off place, and many of them have still to play each other.
morrow56
Great league, no one can dispute that, I still feel Largs are a big danger to the Vic's
Juniorfootball123
Rob Roy will be kicking themselves last night - 2 points thrown away. Shettleston still massive favourites for play off spot, will the amount of games they have to play have a negative impact? Fantastic last two results for Cumbernauld, they tend to be a real hit or miss, wouldn't be surprised it Thorniewood got something on Sat!

I don't think Largs will get out of the relegation mix now, but I don't think Irvine Vics are out of it either.
glensmad
Rob Roy will be kicking themselves last night - 2 points thrown away. Considering where they were after 25 minutes, then yes it was 2 points thrown away for Largs. But having been at the match and seen the Glencairn dressing room after the game, we felt it was a missed opportunity as well, as we had half an hour to find a winner and had the chances to do it. So did Rob Roy, to be fair, it was a cracking game.
