glensmad
No question of maybes aye maybes naw regarding Shettleston being in the promotion mix. They are unquestionably favourites for 3rd place and it's only theirs to lose with the games in hand that they have.
RobRoyGuy
The 1st red card was shocking ,the linesman signalled after the largs no6 lashed out with his boot at our player. In fairness our player had flicked out a boot towards their player beforehand so why not signal then....he is guilty but the no6 should also go for retaliation.... The other red cards I cant comment on but the display of the referee and assistants was woeful... On the game we were poor 2nd to most balls and never created much....Largs were not much better, but got the break with the goal.. as for still being in the mix.....maybes aye maybes naw....Thorniewood on wednesday now....not a happy ground for us always seem to struggle.... Largs are due a break or two , going by our two games against them and what i have been reading and hearing. Think you guy's will beat Thorniewood fairly comfortably to be honest and get yourselves back on track. There's 6 teams still in it (ie anyone under Greenock), with Yoker obviously having a considerable amount of games in hand to try to escape it. If they do then it's 4 out of the 5 to go down. Anyone could finish bottom or survive, it's just all about form now and how you finish your campaign. Massive games for us against Neilston and Ardeer in the next few weeks. If we can even get 3 or 4 pts we'd be in with a decent shout. Any less than that and it could be curtains. Do you know if Bryan Slavin has been playing for you the last two or three games ? paul-r-cfc
What's the nearest train station for Duncansfield Park (Kilsyth rangers)? Google maps says Croy - surely not that far away!?
kilsythblue
What's the nearest train station for Duncansfield Park (Kilsyth rangers)? Google maps says Croy - surely not that far away!? Croy is your station mate but the bus from glasgow stops just across the road and down a set of stairs. £5 quid in taxi from the station
glensmad
Ok, on to the midweek fixtures, and it's all bubbling up now :- Cumbernauld United (6th) v Kilsyth Rangers (3rd) Neilston Juniors (12th) v Largs Thistle (13th) Rutherglen Glencairn (5th) v Kirkintilloch Rob Roy (2nd) Thorniewood United (14th) v Shettleston (7th) Yoker Athletic (11th) v Pollok (1st) All five matches see both teams with something to play for. Here we are heading towards the end of April and every match has some meaning. Say what you like about the cut-throat set-up of this league, but it certainly produces interest right to the end. inthebackground
Slavin played yesterday.the guys a nutjob...had a decent game but his behaviour at times was embarrassingIs that like the boy you had in the terrace that followed the linesman around after the game shouting dogs abuse at him and calling him all sorts of names he is a nut job and should be ashamed of himself for his behaviour . As for Bryan he plays with a passion his team are fighting for their lives and are scrapping for everything . Your number 5 was a nut job going through tackles and taking our right back clean out at a corner so it's not all rosy on your side is it

To be fair, have only seen shettleston once this season, but you have a cheek to talk with your players throwing themselves around and yelping like little kids! I recall your no9 couldnt stay on his feet....falling over at every opportunity and one of your players spitting the dummy and asking to switch sides as he couldnt cope with the pace of Campbell......sounds like kiddy stuff to me

glensmad
What do we see as the ultimate end-of-season safety points factor ? The current maximum points for the teams in the bottom half of the table are as follows :- Yoker Athletic - 47 points Greenock Juniors - 40 points Thorniewood United - 39 points Irvine Victoria - 37 points Largs Thistle - 37 points Neilston Juniors - 35 points Ardeer Thistle - 30 points So the safety mark is currently 38 points, but that will obviously come down. I reckon around the 31 or 32 points mark should be enough this season, which is slightly lower than normal.
