I was going to start a thread about this last night when my Hearts news now app alerted me to an article with the headline Budge confirms stadium over budget. It really annoyed me because it just seems like the past year or so that news articles have been maybe a bit biased against us. Just for an example do people remember the Cathro goal post article (I think from the daily mail) anyway the guy that wrote it ended up having to apologies to Cathro after blatantly twisting his words and making things up. And now theirs the hibsman going on that we are over budget. When it isn't a story the club's prepared for such things and everything's on track. Even the pundits on sportsound (other than Mr english ovcourse) were constantly going on about how hearts are a right physical side. (Looking at you willie miller!) And going on about how we don't play football. Now it's just constantly attack after attack on Cathro. (I no that he deserves criticism but I do think they go too far)
Anyway no doubt I've got annoyed at somthing not even worth my time. Just wondering if anyone else feels similarly?

Alright Lads, be out soon enough anyway- but did anyone see the teaser for the new Umbro top? Not on instagram so can't post, potentially looking good, maroon chevrons.

I've seen this one:

There was a story linking Hearts with a season-long loan for Man City left-back, Ashley Smith-Brown, who's been on a year's loan at NAC Breda - seems like the type of player Cathro might be looking to work with.

But what about Oshinawa?

Any word on a RB or some wingers?

Cathro seems to want to go with wing-backs, rather than wingers.

I wonder if he thinks he can develop Liam Smith? Smith's ok, but that's a risky game, imo.

I also wonder if he thinks it's worth giving Jordan McGhee another shot? :unsure2:

I know.

edit: We've also been linked with Paul Caddis - he's a right back.

Surely McGhee will have developed after some time away? Without seeing him recently, I'd hope he'd be worth a place in the squad - would he accept that though? Smiths decent but I don't think he's a wing back, which seems to be the preferred option.
Paul Caddis is uninspiring.

If Cathro's thing is developing players, he might fancy a crack at McGhee - hopefully, McGhee has realised that he's not Franco Baresi, and will be a bit more realistic about how he has to perform to get into the team. I think he's out of contract, but I just wonder if he might get a last chance.

Caddis isn't massively inspiring, but I'd have him before Smith at the moment - if Caddis is an experienced, reliable safe pair of hands at RB, that would do me.

I'm finding Cole Stockton quite an uninspiring signing, if I'm honest, but you never know.

Hopefully he's also learned the fucking rules (that game in Aberdeen). Thought McGhee was a decent prospect. Just depends how he's developed.
I'm torn over caddis or smith. Caddis probably the safer option.
Stockton is a complete unknown for me. Genuinely never seen the boy play. Happy to give him a chance to prove he's shite before I call him it...
