callum-ayr
Presuming Falcao stays fit, £6m for a season long loan is a steal. Considering £6 million is the reported fee for Hernandez to Madrid. Good business.
The Darkest Timeline
Decent signing with Hernandez off and RVP needing surgery. Still need a defender though.
DigOutYourSoul
I didn't realise RVP was in desperate need of surgery? On the face of it, if they can get rid of Hernandez and Welbeck on loan deals and have only paid 5-6million for Falcao then it's probably very good business as RVP - Rooney Falcao > RVP, Rooney Welbeck and Hernandez. I just can't understand why the are ignoring the glaring issue in the need for a world class centre back.

Musketeer Gripweed
No doubt Falcao is a good signing, but is he not on some stupid wage at Monaco, without tax?
meanmistermustard
Its a good deal considering RVP keeps getting injured and neither Wellbeck or Hernandez are the level of striker Man U are used to having but its not what they desperately require. Would presume Falcao came available last night and they took the chance and deals for a midfielder and, most importantly, defenders are still going to happen. If not then who knows what they're strategy is.
Swarley
No doubt Falcao is a good signing, but is he not on some stupid wage at Monaco, without tax? ESPN reported it as being €14 million per year after tax! Clicky

MangoBroccoli
Well we can't write them off just yet. Are utd interested in another CB today ? can't find any rumours Even if they're both world class, you'll never realistically compete with just two defenders who are up to scratch when it comes to the Premier League. Saigon Raider
Delighted with Falcao - people saying it is a panic signing...one of the World's best strikers becomes available, how is there even a question of not taking him. This could be the start of Rooney starting to drop deeper in this team, if any players position is under threat it is probably Mata. A lot of these new players are very flexible, Di Maria can play anywhere in midfield of upfront, Blind has about 4 positions and Rojo can play centre back or wing back. Also very happy to see the back of Hernandez, any time he started he very rarely produced the goods. I would be sad to see the back of Welbeck as I think he has a lot of potential but there is no way he can compete with who we have now and he will want first team football. Once Evans gets fully fit then he is a very decent centre half. United have had a stupid amount of injuries but once everybody is back and fit then it will be some team. Exciting times ahead and QPR at Old Trafford this weekend!!
MangoBroccoli
Worth pointing out that, on paper at least, this is possibly the best combined strikeforce in Premier League history
Gaz
Man Utd are batshit mental. Hernandez isn't good enough to be a squad player at a mid-table Premiership side but is good enough to be a squad player at the current European champions?
