H_B
That's a different point though. And also disingenuous as the figure you are quoting is what is spent 'on behalf of Scotland', which is our contribution towards things that have nothing to do with us and have no benefit to us, and we wouldn't have any involvement in if we were independent. These are the Scottish government's own figures.
Cliche Guevara
These are the Scottish government's own figures. Aye, and your definitions of what they are for: Scotland does not generate more in revenue than is spent. Scotland does not generate more in revenue than it costs to run Scotland. The point made is Scotland generates more than it gets back.
H_B
our contribution towards things that have nothing to do with us and have no benefit to us, . These figures are for 2011-12. Perhaps you can assist us here by listing all of these items you refer to above, within these figures?
KR88
Think about it, using the pound means that even IF Scotland's economy is flying high, it CAN NOT determine it's own rates of inflation to impact the interest rates as this will all be determined by the rest of the uk! That is NOT independence in my eyes.. Vote NO and we get increased powers, which should boost our economy and the interest rates, which benefits everyone!!! If an independent Scotland found itself in that position it could create it's own currency

Confidemus
And the figures given by Welshbairn did not support the claim being made. Scotland does not generate more in revenue than is spent. Yes it does. To the tune of £8.3bn over the past 5 years alone.
taffy mactavish
If they wont let us use the pound we will send our stormtroopers to westminster and make faces at them then we will send them to the bank of england and shout and poke their tongues out at them . Yeah, it wasn't funny the first time. It became less funny the second time. By the third time, everyone felt a little embarrassed for you. Now we're all staring uncomfortably at our shoes. Thanks for that.

Can't work the quote function and uses massive letters to emphasise the importance of the shitey point. Oh, No voters.
