WhyCantIChooseWigtown
Wigtown beat 2-1!! Missed a penalty and then won another within a few seconds which was scored!! Didn't really deserve to win!! Better team won!! All the best to Civil Service Strollers in the rest of the cup!!

Saints Legend
Good point for mids as i thought crichton would be too strong for their poor side but otherwise mostly the results i expected. Wigtown will be majorly disappointed losing a winnable tie and seems newton stewarts discipline will cost them dearly.
lovejoy07
Wigtown was a scrappy game which could have went either way. Without a doubt winnable but not to be. Who was sent off for NSFC?

HibeeJibee
Not a good day for SOS entrants - largely a role-reversal of last season when the SOS got a couple of good results and the EOS clubs faltered. Subject to appeals/etc. those NS red-cards will be suspended next week, IIRC.

Gonna be tough for Newton in the replay but if they play to half the standard they have so far in the league they should win because in all honesty, Hawick were shit and Newton never turned up! TFW
Newton, wigtown and saints embarras south league in Scottish cup Saints applied themselves well at Beechwood yesterday. Your viewpoint is based purely on ignorance. Don't forget, a lot of the punters were predicting double figures for Talbot this season and last against them, and we've put 7 past Fort William and 8 past Threave Rovers in the Scottish Cup in previous seasons, so they certainly haven't buckled under expectation. To actually score in the last couple of minutes when other teams would have been counting down the minutes to a hot shower spoke volumes about them. Great set of fans too, who all seemed to thoroughly enjoy their trip to Beechwood yesterday despite the result. Well done Saints.
Stu
I take it the Newton v Mids game will be off next week so the replay can be played. Anyone know when the draw is for the next round?

Its on Tuesday. There was a tweet from someone involved in East of Scotland saying Hawick may have played a trialist yesterday which is not allowed, however the tweet was quickly deleted. Anyone aware of this?
