Both offenses started well and the Packers were able to run the ball on the Seahawks defense early with Lacy getting some nice gains. The turning point for me was the drive in the second quarter where the Packers lost OT Bryan Bulaga to injury then after a long PI penalty got them inside the 10, they failed to convert and kicked a FG. The Seahawks were in full control from there. Harvin was clearly being moved around to get touches and destroyed the defense - particularly on the ground - and Marshawn Lynch had wide open lanes to run through. On defense, they were more stout against the run giving Lacy absolutely nothing and the secondary was it's excellent self as several times Rodgers was flushed from the pocket and had nowhere to go. I thought Rodgers made some qquestionable decisions last night. He didn't run for first downs, his ball placement was off for the INT and honed in on Jordy Nelson too much when there were other receivers open. Anyway, it was a deserved victory and it's hard to see anyone coming close to beating the ;Hawks at home this year. TL;DR - Seahawks won. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

lichtie23 Posted September 5, 2014 Author Share Posted September 5, 2014 Just finished watching the game as was on a date with a beautiful Irish girl last night Seahawks were just superb, some of Carroll's play calling was sublime. Lynch was immense and thoroughly deserves player of the game honours. Michael Bennett as well is such a destructive force coming off the edge. He is an elite pass rusher. Packers wise I was surprised they didn't stretch the field as much as I thought they would.
