afc_36_0
I think every arbroath fan would like to see mccord loose a stone or 2 and get back in the team to perform to the ability we all know he can, but at the end of the day if dick has spoken to him about it already and theres no change then as a high earner he might have to go

Wee bit like Simon, I just cant us keeping all these attacking players happy plus we may be looking to save on wages. Lichtie78
The more I think about it the more I want McCord to stay. 23 goals since he signed is an incredible effort, as well as assists etc. McCord is unfit. That is obvious to see. But it’s not exactly like he was cutting about with a six pack when he dragged us over the line to the title, or when he went on his incredible run earlier this season. DC chops and changed the team like it’s going out of fashion, and McCord suffers big time from this. I’d like to see him given a run of games in this midfield 3, with him given more freedom. He was poor at Airdrie, but he is another player that is being limited by the 352. His best attribute is his passing, which requires movement ahead of him. Swankie, Gold, Kader and Wallace simply didn’t provide that on Saturday. Play him in a team with Linn and Denholm and he will create chances. Get Wallace playing off the shoulder and he will create chances.
Loon From Outta Toon
In all seriousness if yous don’t want Mccord fit or unfit, I’d welcome him with open arms at Station Park!Absolutely class player for this level!

RedLichtie86
3-5-2 formation simply doesnt suit McCord's style of play.As said earlier he needs players moving in front of him, making space or dropping into holes to recieve a pass. With the 2 wide players playing less forward than in a 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 formation that reduces his options when trying to find teammates in a further forward position, lowering his effectivness on a game.We played 4-2-3-1 earlier in the season and McCord suited playing in the middle of the 3. He had options all around him and was far enough forward to be a threat at goal too. When he had to play up front he simply had enough about his game to be a big threat to teams. He is also especially deadly on free kicks. His fitness is a concern but his overall talent and importance to the team surely merits more game time. Even if he has to be subbed after 55 minutes.
lichtie23
If McKenna gets the start ahead of McCord on Saturday then I think that’s a pretty big sign that Campbell doesn’t see him in his plans. Hope I’m wrong

AFC360PUNK1320
Well hopefully we have kept our excellent squad which seems to get stronger by each transfer window which is a great testament to both the Management team and the AFC Board. In truth probably 80% of our squad of players (if you take Raith and Ayr Utd out of it) could walk into any of the other teams in our league, at the present moment you would probably class Hester and Skelly and maybe Kader as "squad" players (and great players to come off the bench) and the rest of the other players would be in anybodies starting Red Lichtie XI which is a great problem to have. Really glad we have kept McCord, i rate him that highly (if he got fitter) that he is the type of player you would build your team around, he can score goals, make goals, is a superb dead ball specialist and can do the unexpected, really hope we can get him back in the team and get him fitter.
Robertolichtie
McCord isn't 2 stone over weight, maybe 1 at most.... He is from the Gazza build of footballer the sort that look chunky but get fit from playing games more than doing hours and hours at a gym.

stan3600
I love him to but.... Maybe eating less and better? Professional footballers don’t get fit by playing games.

Hammerafc
There is definitely an issue with no reserves that you can't stay match fit but there's a difference between match fit and being fit.

Looks like a different boy Also bottom photo is from last season, better shape then for me All the fans love the guy but a wee bit of extra effort could really improve his game

Tbf to McCord I’ve seen him plenty of times out jogging on the Perth road at night. Pass him from work.
