I’m choosing not to worry.

I know that, and that's why I said it's a huge 'if'.

I think deep down you know this, hence the weird obsession with touting McKinnon and trying to make it a "thing". When it's the right time....lol.

So you think that because he has a very good job outside football, he's more likely to move to a full time team in Fife than the biggest part time club in Angus? Oh..kay. ecto
18 minutes ago, mo83 said: Lol And when are you "Bringing him home" Let's face facts here you would have had to pay the former manager some sort of package not sure how much and don't really care that's a bill the board of directors wouldn't have really wanted to part with.SP has just signed a new deal just last week as well how ironic till the summer of 2027 no way their splashing the cash to get him in no way in a million years SP loves the Mo. Insecure....ha ha a think that's you mate! Your not a championship club anymore L1 and bottom of the pile at present let that sink in!Don't get me wrong am sure that will change and you will get further up the league but AFC behind the scenes is not all as rosey as it was a few years ago every true fan knows that. My work here is done 16 minutes ago, mo83 said: Why aren't AFC approaching Montrose then if it's that simple? as I said, my work here is done

If, and it's a huge if, Stewart Petrie was minded to move elsewhere I'd have thought that East End Park would be more likely that Gayfield. Given his job no it is not to be fair Will not be Arbroaths next manager however Edited August 22 by 1320Lichtie

speedframe
2 hours ago, ExiledLichtie said: The only people mentioning McKinnon are Montrose fans on the wind up. Its understandable though, I think they're just reacting out of fear that their manager will choose to up sticks and come and join the big club. Not just Montrose fans, 99% of Forfar supporters too

charliewheelen
Hello all, You asked, so I'll deliver. Thanks to the suggestion (forgive me I can't remember who said it) Bobby Linn is up for an interview in the near future. As I like to do with all of these, I love getting you guys involved. Are there any questions you would like me to ask Bobby about his time at the club or his career in general? Likewise are there any topics you would like me to cover, so we can get the best possible interview? Arbroath history isn't one of my specialist subjects, so I appreciate all the help Happy to be back bearing better news than the last time, hopefully a good gaffer in at Gayfield next

Oh..kay. See whilst we are and have been extremely embarrassing on the park for about 2 year now it’s maybe best to just park this kind of stuff - even if it is just as a wind up Right now we’re more likely to be a league below Montrose next year than anything else (although you would hope that the tide would turn with group we’ve got) so this is the kind of time when you have to wind your neck in a bit to avoid looking very silly, again even if it is tongue in cheek Cannot be acting the billy big baws when we’re currently absolutely rotten

I’d imagine it’s more than the financial side

How was the club roughly in 2013 when he joined? Of course I'll ask him to expand on it, and Dick spoke about the transformation during his tenure, but I'm interested to see how you fans felt with the club at that point
