RedRob72
You buy a Lorne of sausage from the butchers. This can be sliced or unsliced at the point of purchase. When served for consumption an individual slice of the Lorne is a square sausage. Yep, reckon that’s spot on![emoji106]

sugna
I was buying some lunch in Kwan's Kitchen on Monday. A very dark-skinned, exotically clad woman came in with her slightly lighter-skinned boy. I had them down as rich African tourists. The woman serving clocked that they were a bit disorientated with the choice, pointed at the blackboards, and said, "Hot meals there; sandwiches there; hot rolls, paninis[sic] and toasties there!" To my surprise, the woman then said to her son - in what sounded like a slightly Glaswegian accent - "Will a haggis roll do ye?" He shook his head, pointed up at one of the blackboards, and the mum then said, "We'll hae two rolls on Lorne!"
