Think we may just have to accept he's a steady Championship standard FB and that's all he'll ever be. Doesn't mean he doesn't have a spot in our squad but when will he be of the required standard if he's isn't at 21? We've still got 4 days to get him up to speed - he's not 21 til Saturday.

Mark O'Hara is 20 and all the talk is about him developing over the next few years, Cammy will still develop as a footballer and also physically over the next few seasons. Right now though, i don't think he can play in our strongest line up. He'd be good to have on the bench such as when defending a lead late on and there being a wee c**t of a winger present, or an injury to a central midfield player with Hateley shifting over, and obviously can come in with suspensions etc. He'd still play a good part in our season. He'll play more games this season for Dundee than any other before, improving him over this season, but right now he's not a player who will take us to the top 6 - letting a diddy team such as St Johnstone slip in again. Thank you.
Dundee-FC92
If you present Granny Danger with a doughnut and an unriped peach the kebab connoisseur would eat the doughnut quicker than Jimmy Calderwood with an Indian buffet voucher. The wiser thing in the long term would be to wait. Thank you.
K.T
If Hateleys wearing number 7 does this mean Hartley is continuing his tradition of signing players and playing them in an attacking role whether they're a defender, midfielder or striker?
frankthetank22
A good signing imo guys.
Ludo*1
Hateley apparently has been playing as CM in Poland and pre-Motherwell he was a midfielder too. It was only for Motherwell that he's actually played RB. Potentially - Hartley could see him as a RM.
Mr Gandosaur
Have to agree with those who say Kerr has been poor. I like the guy and I'm desperate for him to succeed but have seen nothing from him so far to say he should be in our first 11. First touch and control is awful at times. Our fans will always take to a grafter but I fear that's all he will ever be - a hard working but limited player.

I hope so - don't think Kerr is a right midfielder and will settle in nicely, given time, at right back (not so long ago there were plenty of McGinn is no good at right back comments - got to give these guys a proper chance). Midfield needs a boost and Hateley further up the park could well be our answer. Personally, and I expect not over popular, I would like to see Bain Kerr Gomis Julen O'Dea Holt McGowan Hateley O'Hara Duffy/Wighton El Bak -

I make it 6 goals from free kicks(two of which were overhit crosses), 2 goals direct from corners and 1 penalty. His set pieces were very hit or miss, some games they were superb and could cause havoc as he whipped them in with plenty of pace. Far too often though he'd fail to beat the first man or smash the ball straight out of play much to the frustration of the Motherwell fan. Decent player though, good right back and done a job a few times for us sitting in front of the back four. Should prove a very shrewd acquisition by Hartley. D TOTAL
Although Ohara is 20 he has had 2 full seasons in the spl to be used to it, whereas Kerr has been a bit part performer for Dundee until this season his loans to Peterhead where in a lesser league so give the boy a break he's only been in the team 2 minutes
