Dundee-FC92
£385 for a season ticket. Shove it up your arse Dundee, there's not a chance in f**k i'll be paying that for a season ticket. Covering it up with £1 tickets for under 12 doesn't mean fuckall to me either. Simple as that. I'll still go to the games though of course, just won't be seen to be part of the numbers who buy the ST's as the prices and all round ticket structure is drawn up by thick c***s inside Dens. Thank you.
DigOutYourSoul
For me the club has to do something to actually incentivise season ticket sales. At the moment they seem to just be reliant, as are probably all clubs, on hardcore fans paying money up front to attend every game. In the current setup you are almost paying the gate price to every home game of the season, up front. There is no real financial incentive to buying a season ticket, compared to paying at the gate. The only advantage is that you get your desired seat every weekend. If we say there are 5 category A games @ £26 and 13 Category B games @ £22 the total cost of turning up and paying at the gate would be £416, or £21.90 per game. Some kind of incentive scheme could be looked at, the finer details of how it would be implemented would need some serious consideration but if you take the example below: Current Season tickets @ £365 = £19.21 per game and at current sales levels of around 3200 (assuming everyone is paying the £365 rate) nets the club £1.168m ticket sales in advance of the season starting. If season tickets were dropped to £325 the price per game would drop to £17.11 and realistically you could look at getting the season ticket sales revenue up to £1.3m. If you further dropped ticket prices to £300, the price per game drops to £15.79, which represents a genuine financial saving compared to turning up every week and paying at the gate. If you could get this number up to 5000, the club could net up £1.5m in season ticket sales. The incentive has to be there for a lot of people to consider it, could you incentivise some sort of refund scheme where if the club reaches 4000 tickets sold the price is decrease by £40 as in the example below and further refunded if the 5000 level is reached? The question also has to be asked of the Club, if they would rather have a ‘hardcore’ 3200 people paying £365 (£1.168m) + 1800 at the gate paying £21.90 (0.749m) for a total revenue of £1.917m across the season or 5000 fans paying the lower rate of £300 for a season ticket gaining a total revenue of $1.5m. I would suspect they’d be happy if they could get 5000 through the gate with the first mix of pay at the gate and season ticket holders. The only advantage of season tickets to the club is that it guarantees cash up front of the season, and potentially helps for budgeting and planning across the year.

AnAnInginAneAnA
Rather than drop the price of season tickets, they're putting up the price of individual matches to give the perception of value. Keep charging £24 for games against the likes of Ross County and see how far that gets you Mr Nelms. (no offense to county fans, but you're not exactly what I'd consider a "Category A" team)

Meeniedee
The funny thing is while the dabs have sold more season tickets as us come December when they are maybe getting a 100 or so paying customers thru the gates and the season ticket money has been spunked away...monty burns will be out re,re,re mortgaging some shit or other..while we will get at least 5-6k minimum every home game which will result in a steady income over the season.

Another havering c**t. United sold more season tickets and had a higher average attendance than Dundee last season despite being in the Championship whilst you had both halves of the Old Firm, Aberdeen, Hearts etc coming to Dens. It seems the figures released today have seen a magnificent reaction from the Dundee fans

Spikethedee
Anyone know why our match is tonight, rather than yesterday?? It has been totally overshadowed by the green bigot's match, not even being mentioned on BBC radio or local STV news. Obviously, no-one knew if Celtic would have qualified for this round, or even if they had playing on which night, but it just seems odd that there's only one game tonight.
