Benjamin_Nevis
McPake [emoji23] As far as I'm concerned that's him easily surpassed McIntyre in the shit manager stakes and breathing down Kernaghan's neck. An utterly inept simpleton.
DieDee
8 points from 10 games! Last season was the excuse that he had to have time to work out his best 11, tactics etc. This season this is so far beyond acceptable. Just has to go..... pleeeeease

He’s been given plenty time to turn it around and we are continuing to make the same mistakes. The 6-2 game vs Hearts should've been the point of no return. Over a year into his tenure and he lets that happen, what hope is there? We're just in pilot mode, circling around and around until the Americans wake up and realise how much of a waste of time and money this is. We have the resources to be up there, and the season isn't near over yet. He needs to go.

RossBFaeDundee
I can just imagine the first thought that went through Nelms' head at FT: "Well... at least we didn't lose."

Ludo*1
McPake's record: P: 47 W: 17 D : 13 L: 16 WR: 36.17% With an overall goal difference of -4. That's him below Gordon Chisholm in the win rate stakes. Only Alan Kernaghan is statistically worse in our 127 year history at this level. The only thing the Americans understand is money, maybe they'd notice that. I don't care if Adam is running over to celebrate the manager, bin McPake today. Bin them all today. You might have a point there, because surely to f**k this disaster cannot be allowed to continue. No option for Nelms now, has to go. We'll wait and see.

DieDee
McPake will be telling Nelms that he's asked Santa for some managerial ability so everything will be alright, just wait and see

At least McIntyre can say he was up against the best teams in the country. At least Kernaghan can say he was managing with barely any resources compared to most Dundee managers. McPake is well backed and is in a level where the club rarely are not contending for the title. Embarrassing.

The fact that we've waited this long is a disgrace and proves that results don't matter to the Americans, all that matters is they like the guy in charge, regardless of their experience or knowledge. Same thing happened with McCann. The one time they brought in a manager with experience, they chose a guy whose preferred managerial team was never going to be welcomed back here.
Ludo*1
There's reasonably decent options realistic options out there in Tommy Wright, Gary Holt & before he ruined his reputation latterly at Morton (but possible to give him a pass due to the off-field stuff) David Hopkin. Not world beaters, but managers that have proven they can get a tune out of a team.
D TOTAL
I’m still of the opinion we should look further than Scotland for a manager, when you think the national team is getting beat by the likes of Israel, Peru , Slovakia even fcking Kazakhstan there must be decent managers out there as the Scottish league is a ticket to England if you do well enough. Even for Celtic scraping by against Latvian and Bosnian team before getting beat by a Hungarian team Even Ireland is doing some good things with Dundalk yet here is Dundee getting manager applications from around the world apparently and we’ve decided on a tv pundit, a dab who lets be real was never gonna get fans on side regardless of results, and the youth academy guy, even folk saying bring back Hartley folk have short memories about why we sacked him
This Charming Man
18 months on from the end of the horrific Jim McIntyre error, genuine question, not to James McPake obviously, but to John Nelms. Remove Charlie Adam from our current footballing line-up, what do we actually have? An absolutely shambolic, shapeless rabble of a collective. 3-0 up at home, 18 mins to play, remove Adam, 3 goals conceded. WTF Please get off your arse, relieve James McPake and Dave MacKay of their duties with immediate effect and imho appoint Tommy Wright with Charlie Adam assisting. Sit on your hands, League One next season is a very real and genuine possibility. Ross County will be approaching Tommy Wright as we speak. With respect, not taking action is no longer an option for our club.
