RossBFaeDundee Posted June 12 Share Posted June 12 (edited) I don’t think it’s fair to say that Cammy is ‘League One at best’ tbh, I’d say he’s a decent Championship squad player for a mid-table team, and was one of the few players that couldn’t be faulted by the Inverness fans last season while deputising in a less familiar role to him. Very few put in as much effort consistently as he does, his energy levels are his best trait, and he’s pretty versatile as to where he can contribute, it’s just that the quality level just isn’t quite there and his energy alone isn’t enough to make up for that. Far too good for league 1 seems a bit of a stretch for me, especially given some of the teams that have been down there recently. Maybe league one at best is a bit harsh for some but I don't think so, you look at players like Sean Dillon who, after Dundee United, played almost 200 games for Montrose. He isn't any better or worse than that mould of player. Would I be surprised if he got a championship side? Not really, I don't think there is much difference between a bottom championship side/top league 1 side. It's hardly a far-fetched suggestion. ETA - Inverness were not doomed to be relegated at all...they finished 3 points off 5th place ffs! There are a lot of factors in there that aren't just Cammy Kerr of course. I think they both make the same runs and I’m unsure how well they would work with each other. Mellon has great potential to score many goals in the league if he becomes more confident and we play to his strengths. I’d take both as Murray can play out wide as well. Rumour has it his current salary is also better than most Celtic players. Are you trying to encourage McCowan to make the move? ETA If Celtic do want him and McCowan wants to try his luck elsewhere Celtic will wait until January and sign him on a pre-contract.
