Booker-T
I'm new here and I noticed another poster started a thread on the England friendly so why not? I'm sure there are plenty of Celtic and Ireland fans who'll be looking forward to this one. I think this will be a toughie. Mchedlizie looks like a real handful so the CB's need to be on their game; O'Shea and Pearce to start imo. All the lads are settled into their seasons and hopefully McGeady continues the excellent form he's in for Everton with a top performance although a lone striker might be on the cards for this grinding encounter. MON knows how to win away from home and this is his first real test as an international manager. I think he'll come through and we'll qualify. Germany are the other major threat Hiya Standfree x

TheCelt67
What would Southern Ireland do without their Scottish players? Draw 0-0 with England in 88 and with Italy in 94?
Hampden Diehard
Draw 0-0 with England in 88 and with Italy in 94? Were either games covered by the TV in colour?
TheCelt67
Were either games covered by the TV in colour? Yes, they were. Which is just as well, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to see the sunburn on the Scottish and Scouse players in the Ireland team...
