madwullie
Really depends on what reasons those Labour voters in the central belt had for voting Yes. I'd imagine some of them at least won't have the stomach to go back to the fold.

Casual Bystander
Yes, absolutely. While many people felt it was a step too far to go to independence, we have seen the Labour party share a platform with the Conservatives not just on this issue but on the austerity cuts and Trident. If people thought that the SNP government was big last election, Sturgeon will lead Scots to an overwhelming victory in 2016. Labour will be lucky to retain their deposits in many seats with the Greens mopping up the haemorrhaging left wing vote.
Gunz
In the general election I imagine we will still vote Labour. Can't see a Scottish Labour government for a while though.
Michael W
YES they are fucked now , Given that 65% of their voters would've voted No, I really don't think they are. Much of the derision towards them is probably coming from people who have never voted Labour or haven't for years.
youngsy
As Bennett said, if they don't carry out the promise of more Devolution power then they're finished in Scotland.

pandarilla
Is Jim Murphy angling for a seat in Holyrood? He annoyed me the least (of the No campaign) from what I saw on TV through the night.

HibeeJibee
They'll be far from finished. In terms of Westminster they're almost certain to remain the dominant force: if anything might increase their seats next year as they will target Lib Dem seats, and their supporters know that failure to return a Labour MP increases the chances of the Conservatives gaining an overall majority. In terms of the Holyrood election in 2016 things are more interesting - how many people who voted SNP in 2011 as a sort of 'protest' will return to Labour, how many will stick, how many who voted 'Yes' will switch to SNP, how many who voted 'No' will switch to Labour, who'll form the government, etc.
