Romeo
I have noticed a trend recently for people giving kids stupid names. This morning I heard a mother calling her kid Magenta, is it only me that finds this ridiculous. Also recently advised a pal not to name her kid Lukas, with a K, as she and the kid would spend their entire lives saying "hi, this is/i am Lukas, with a K" Any P&B'ers got stupid names, or names spelled differently, just to be unusual
YER SISTERS YER MAW
Some celebs are the worst for it. Naming weans after fruits like Apple & Peaches is just plain wrong.

ICTJohnboy
I knew a couple who called their daughter Iona. Nothing wrong with that of course except that their name was Gunn.

nsr
I used to work for the police and they kept records of children in dodgy families. I was amazed at how many neds appeared to have named their child "Ubb", then I finally realised this was an abbreviation for "unborn baby". Not one of my brightest moments, I must admit.
ForzaDundee
Billie-Jae is the worst I've came across. Edit: Probably should have worded that different. Edited October 6, 2014 by ForzaDundee

Jacksgranda
I have an acquaintance whose newly born grandson is called Troy - didn't have the heart to tell him our daughter's dog is called Troy.
scottsdad
Was at school with a boy called Kris. WTF? Spell it right. And any parent that names their kid Clare, Lynn or Lyndsey is forcing their child in to a lifetime of spelling their name out to people.
JasonElgin
I used to work with a girl who wanted to call her baby Sunflower if it was a girl. Didnt ask what the boy's name would have been.

Tom McB
TBH chaps after 37 years in teaching I have seen many names with variant spellings. Most names one can learn to live with but with others you simply hope the poor wean has a decent middle name that they can use in later life.
