H_B
How will Spain continue to justify their non compliance with a democratic process that the Catalan govt have the mandate to undertake? They are under no obligation here.
Jacksgranda
I think it was a tounge and cheek reference to the vile negative biased media coverage that the Brit State spouted before our referendum, causing some Scots to sh!te it. But, but, but, surely we Scots don't like being dictated to, and when we were told "NO CURRENCY UNION" we all dug our heels in and decided to vote "Yes" out of sheer thrawness, while the Yes campaigners enthused over this "spectacular own goal" by the Nos?

I got all my media bias from natblogs so was completely unmoved by the vile MSM persecution of the yes campaign. David Ickes support for Scottish independence was the absolute clincher for me. And after all, he CARES about Arran.

That's right. I distinctly remember being told what a monumental blunder that was from Balls, Osborne and co.

strichener
Looks like they actually want it, unlike Scotland. Didn't seem to exercise the voting public in anything close to the same way either. Turnout was shite. Was the turnout better or worse than for the vote on the living wage that you stated took place on 5th November? Never did get an answer on how many from the SNP voted against it. Perhaps you could inform us?
AUFC90
Bluff and bluster Correct. London would've went down the pan without Scottish exports propping up sterling.

Reynard
...and "bullying", don't forget the "bullying". The bullying was just unforgivable. I was absolutely raging about the bullying. Awful. Fucking English b*****ds. I'm actually banging my fists off the leather topped desk (to cushion the blow as my hands are my fortune) here.

invergowrie arab
They are under no obligation here. Indeed, that's why it is interesting. Do they just continue with that line or do they address the issue head on? What do you foresee happening? And what difference will this make to your life?1. f**k knows. 2. Let's imagine your excellent analysis of the post indyref world is correct and WM don't agree to Edinburgh Agreement v. 2. The reaction of an EU member state to a secessionist movement within its territory and the reaction of the wider EU will be relevant to us all.

One of my step daughters actually said this to one of her sisiters - "My hands are my career" (she was a hairdresser. This was to avoid washing/drying the dishes.
Tom McB
This. Pretty sure if Scotland held a referendum on a similar basis the outcome would be fairly similar. Turnout under 2 million, if you're a No voter what's the point in turning up to vote against something you know isn't going to happen anyway? This.

Yep the BNP coming round streets, killing the first born male child of each family, the clyde turning red, the plague of frogs. Drones targetting any cars with YES stickers, it was biblically awful. My desk's oak so pardon me if I don't hit it in my rage.

They didn't judge the Scottish psyche well when they made these threats. It drove the people to go out there and say "no one tells us we can't tell you what to do arrogantly". They showed em.

SodjesSixteenIncher
I love these threads where the brain trust ping pong sarcastic examples of what Yes voters supposedly said back and forth at each other. Its always impressive stuff.
