Clarkston5
I watched the catch up episodes of this on Iplayer. It's brilliant and terrifying although arguably in very bad taste. However, I can't deny that it's gripping TV. James Nesbitt is actually good in this as is Tcheky Karo who is always fantastic. The plot is that a child goes missing while on a family holiday in France and in shifting timelines from 8 years into the future and back, events unfold where the parents, police and relatives try and trace the child. Now maybe it's because of various characters being incarcerated and signs of events that have taken place such as marital separation it really makes you want to keep watching but it's well written and directed. Tuesday 9 pm on BBC1 although i'd recommend watching all previous episodes on Iplayer
eindhovendee
James Nesbitt is brilliant in it, his desperation makes you cringe at times but he gets over that the character is completely consumed by the disappearance of his son even after 8 years. Filmed in Huy in Belgium even though its set in France. Beautiful little town. You definitely need to watch from the beginning.
Ira Gaines
I do appreciate cringe factor if it's done right, and in this case, it just makes you buy into the desperation of the whole thing. Nesbitt has been incredible in it. Good shout on Karo as well btw. He reminds me a lot of the guy that played Mathis in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.
die hard doonhamer
Really enjoying this. Nesbitt is excellent, and the horrific nature of the story is gripping.

Clarkston5
I'm wondering what the journalist had on that French policeman who's now in prison. Maybe find out tonight....
Mr Sugden
The window bit at the end of the 3rd episode was one of the most chilling pieces of tv I've seen. Have to watch some nice telly for a bit before going to bed after watching this.

die hard doonhamer
What was the ending of last weeks one? Totally forgot? Bourge had just been told that Garret has been missing for 8 years, presumed dead.
Clarkston5
Hmmm. I doubt that Tony was involved in Garrett's disappearance although it's being hinted at. We'll maybe find out tomorrow.... I'm loving this show

Gaz FFC
Did anyone else feel the mum looked awfy like Kate McCann? I've seen a few similarities with the McCanns already.
Clarkston5
well, that answers that question. Yeah a bit predictable and Stott is a fantastic actor and his character was fascinatingly creepy. That comment about all these altruistic billionaires is one that made me think
zidane's child
I'll need to iplayer this. Sounds amazing

mozam76
It's an unbelievable hour of television, it really is. Every time you think that so and so is the best character, along comes another tremendous performance. The journo is a case in point - steals whichever scene he's in (the actor is married to Roxy Shahidi who plays the Layla character in Emmerdale, fact fans). Ken Stott is an absolute genius - Garrett is a horrific character.
Boghead ranter
Ken Stott is an absolute genius - Garrett is a horrific character. During the scene last week 'on the boat' Mrs Ranter said "he's playing that part so well that if I saw him just now and I had a gun, I'd shoot him'. He is very, very good in it.
oddly optomistic
I tend to find in dramas that are played out weekly that I forget things that have happened. But this series is different. Look forward to watching what happens next.
