John Lambies Doos
Hilary lost a lot of the key swing states too, areas where apparently Sanders was quite popular. Ultimately Hilary failed to turn votes to electoral college seats as effectively as Trump and if Sanders had an appeal in those states he'd have come closer to winning, or would've managed to win. Hard to imagine someone doing a poorer job than Clinton did in the end. Agree. Clinton was selfish.. from a political dynasty that was past its sell by date. She should have stepped aside for the good of the democratic party and country. Her endless crusade was cringe

jmothecat
Dominic Raab might be the most boring person in the world. He's making an interesting topic dull. That republican guy in the audience seemed a bit mad.
jmothecat
Tasmina, Yvette and the lecturer all doing very well though. The Republic Overseas person is struggling a bit but she's coming from a difficult position 'yeah, he's awful, but I voted for him.'

BerwickMad
I'm not sure Ahmed-Sheikh, Cooper or Churchwell are actually doing well TBH. I'm not saying I disagree with them, but simply ranting on and expressing disgust is pretty easy when it comes to Donald Trump.

jmothecat
I've never understood the anger against 'career politicians', is politics the only line of work where experience in the field is considered a bad thing?
HibsFan
Just now, jmothecat said: I've never understood the anger against 'career politicians', is politics the only line of work where experience in the field is considered a bad thing? There was a time when it was probably an appropriate phrase for a handful of politicians who put their career progression ahead of their principles, but now it's just become a buzzword for politicians and pundits to sling at each other. Hope they change the record.
