Had same thought when I watched it piece by piece but been rewatching and seeing it more consistently yeah it's fairly clear that Howard is like a version of Nacho, a flawed but basically well intentioned character who can't escape his problems (in his case because Jimmy and Kim are directly responsible for them), which the show contrasts with the main characters who are given out after out from their awful behaviour but continue to be monsters. The fact he comes across as unlikeable is sort of the point. Jimmy and Kim are more likeable, sure, but they are awful c***s who in the end cause a decent man to be killed - and of course for Jimmy that's just the beginning. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
