the peter & roughie show or most of STV Glasgow is recorded. it was always gonnae be a recording. they don't show anything 'live'. the twitter page and website had the link for it. they weren't hiding anything, the SJFA haven't done anything wrong for a change. got the draw on a much bigger platform than before so no damage done.

They might have changed the draw between 5 and 6 30...if it's no live then anything can be edited :)

They had a draw live once on Radio Scotland, a bigger platform than some crap digital tv station.

Just that everywhere I saw had it advertised for 6.30pm

Think a bit of a misunderstanding but still a lack of communication from the powers that be

a lack of the same from fellow junior fans on this forum too. Why all the secrecy?

Might be wrong but think most people thought the draw would be 6-30 onwards, folk coming in from work getting set to watch a live draw only to find out its all over here and Twitter just after 5,it's done and dusted now, just have to go to Talbot land and beat them at home now, lol.

you guys were unlucky last time against us,both home and away,so no-one down here will be looking at this as an early St Valentine's Day gift, or anything else other than what it is. Two top sides battling for a place in the latter stages of our flagship competition. Both teams seem to like to play the ball out from the back down either wing and then crosses, passes into central strikers. Top entertainment in store...again. Good luck.

Aye we'll hopefully give it best shot Andro but know the task in front of us as you don't lose much at home and your Scottish exploits speaks for itself,it's all about on the day, looking forward to it with a bit trepidation.

Just to clear up the draw times once and for all.

The draw was made around 5pm

The 6.30pm time was only in case there needed to be another draw.

For example

- teams left in the bag

- teams with the same number

- teams without a number

- teams that were already out being included

- teams being put in the bag after being drawn out.

- teams being dropped on the floor and going right under the sofa

- having to add up who many teams need BYES etc

The very fact that the 6.30 draw wasn't needed shows that we should be praising the SJFA for an excellent performance.

My mate said that the Scottish Cup draw at one time was a big event when held in social clubs all over the regions. Said he was only ever at one held in Camelon club and it was choc a block midday on a Sunday. Also that the SJFA held a draw in the Glasgow Evening Times office at 8-00am to give the Glasgow paper an exclusive for their midday paper. 'Glenafton's manager ' (A.R.) was only club rep present. Looks like shenanigans with the draw are no new thing for TJ.

Did Pollok ever have the draw? If so did it pull a crowd cmontheloknow ?

Mr.Johnstone looked ill at ease on the telly, fumbling with a pen, twitching, coughing thought he would rather be another place. First post on P&B got the Lesmahagow/Johnstone Burgh v Yoker wrong way around. What a shambles. How on earth can bollock after bollock be dropped in a simple thing like a cup draw? See there were 25 teams in the R5 draw. :thumbsdown
