Does that mean it is a done deal then?
Or can someone/ something still halt it. I’m ignorant of these sort of things?

More or less, it's extremely unusual voting will go against the recommendation of the planning committee.

Glad to see the planning committee addressed the objections especially the ones that were pure fantasy in the above document.

Planning permission has been granted for the new training facility, Bowie Park, with the club hopeful work will commence next month.

Great news.

Delighted with Watkins signing a new deal and Bruce Anderson will help to take some of the load off of him and big Vass next season.

Sounds like Ndaba is close which, along with Findlay, means our squad looks very strong if you ignore the goalkeeper situation.

After the events of four seasons ago I'm not quite so sanguine about goalkeeper uncertainty, but on the whole things are looking pretty positive.

Likewise. The value of a decent keeper in this league cannot be underestimated.

Both ourselves and united have gone down in recent times mainly due to having clowns between the sticks. The opposite could be said of st Johnstone last season.

I am confident McInnes will know better than that.

Likewise but it depends who is available and how soon we can get them in. As you say though, DM has earned our trust and some patience.

Could be waiting for word on Dennis. I wouldn’t mind Dennis back as a safe pair of hands however at the same time I didn’t think he was irreplaceable.

I feel slightly unfair saying this, especially as the goalkeeper is an extremely important position, but if I had to pick one player to leave the club out of say the most used 13/14 players last season then it probably would’ve been Dennis.

Anderson had 3 seasons as a top flight regular since leaving Aberdeen, he's gotten better IMO.

I can't shake seeing Steven MacLean whenever I watch him play, and wonder if he'll go the same way in terms of getting better the older he gets.

Course he has.

Yeah it's weird when fans of a player's former team write off a young developing player based on their opinion of him several years ago. He's had a lot of top flight games since he was at Aberdeen, and isn't the same player he was back then.

Kilmarnock picked up a well-earned victory in their first pre-season match in Scotland.

The New Saints were the visitors to Rugby Park in a closed-door friendly, with the hosts running out 5-0 winners.

Bruce Anderson notched a first half hat-trick complemented by an Innes Cameron strike to make it 4-0 at the break.

Plenty of changes were made in the second half and Brad Lyons glanced home a header 12 minutes from time.

Good stuff, hope he does well for Killie, don't think we got the best out of him because of how Martindale used him*, and limited his game time, but he still scored plenty of goals for us and was a fans favourite.

*playing him up front as a lone striker and hoofing high balls towards him, with a big CB towering over the top of his shoulders.

Get it down the channels for him to chase the ball and pressure defenders into mistakes, or fire the ball across the box and he'll get onto the end of it and score goals. I'll be keeping an eye out for your scores to see how he gets on.

What do you guys think will happen with Bobby Wales this season. I was told a few weeks ago that if we brought in 1 more senior attacker that he was going out on loan with Ayr the likely destination.

If we do sign another attacker, Greg Stewart for example, then I think we really need to get him on loan. If he is staying then I would like to see him be the #4 striker behind Vass, Watkins and Anderson. I hope we don’t keep him but play big Innes (no harm to the big man) instead of him.

DM did a squad update yesterday, posted on Killie Kickback, sounds like Bobby Wales is very much part of his first team plans for this season and he seems happy with our attacking options. Getting a GK and couple of defenders was his priority.
