Dr V Posted April 18, 2015 Author Share Posted April 18, 2015 My take on things is today both teams were pretty evenly matched, 2 mistakes costing the Rose goal but you could say the same for Mussey.At this level thats going to happen.Bigger picture was man for man Musselburgh were better over the 2 legs and good luck to them in the final, apart from the number 10 who decided to try and score after a dead ball was given by the ref for an injury.Interestingly it was a last ditch tackle by a shocked rose man which in normal circumstances could have been a red was met by the ref with a glare at the centre forward. Common sense prevailed. The rest can go and will not be missed 2/3 of these players can't even regularly get a game. We have 4 centre forwards and 5 centre mids all who would walk into most teams. You can only really play 4 out of the 9 in their favoured positions or as happens you play them out of position. Don't disagree with that - my argument has always been that we aren't a team when you regularly have players out of position. April and we don't know our best team or formation.
