"Were not going to do a deal with the snp.if it meant we werent going to be in goverment then so be it.i'm not going to sacrifice the unity of the country" ed knows fine well the conservatives have been using the possible lab/snp deal to scare people into voting for conservatives,ed had to do something to deal with that and goi g by this he has.

Why would anyone expect him to say he's open to a deal with the SNP? There's no benefit to him saying that whatsoever.

Because this will haunt the Labour party for generations now

He's gone all in. If it comes off then good luck to him. If, however, Labour fall short in votes then they are utterly fucked! Either way they are dead in Scotland

Let's assume he's actually serious, the tories are in. An EU referendum will see us leave and Scotland will probably be demanding a 2nd referendum on independence- and not just us vile cybernats too. Every c**t and his dug will be wanting out.

Very, very risky posturing.
