Aye well done Shippy was certainly a learning curve for our young boys playing against a much more experienced side. Three 15 year olds in our side with the oldest being 19. Thinking about it John Martin in the Shippy side would be old enough to be all our players dad Former Cowden player managing the Shippy as well Grant Brough, well done to him - 1st Shippy manager to win the cup.
cowdenbeath
Should be interesting next season with Kelty being in the cup as well.
PELE
Well done to Shippy on the first Fife Cup win. Never in any doubt. Men against boys and it clearly showed. A few decent Cowden performances, but mostly out of their depth. Galloway for Shippy looks like a player we should be signing.

Just as Kelty join in, the other smaller team gets their first win. Perfect timing.

Galloway looked decent remember him playing for the Pars 20s.

Most of our players looked scared and just tried to get rid of the ball anywhere they could hit it, especially the keeper.

I know what your saying Pele but we couldn't risk playing any 1st teamers with the play off coming up.
cowdenbeath
Draw for next season Kelty v Raith Rovers Burntisland v Cowden SF Dunfermline v Kelty/ Raith Rovers East Fife v Burntisland/ Cowden
parsforlife
I'm far from a big fan of this cup, however the addition of new team is very exciting . 3? Fife Teams entering the E.o.S means this cup could be going through big changes.

101
Is there going to be an open top bus for Shippy? Seems fitting after their first cup win? Also congratulation to Cowdenbeath for wining the 1989 fife cup And Kelty Hearts for wining the 2021 cup final both were played last night Edit - spelling
HibeeJibee
I went up to this and Burntisland deserved their win and by that sort of margin. Big chap up front caused Cowden all sorts of issues. Could tell it meant a lot to the players, committee and kids. 15 hours ago, parsforlife said: I'm far from a big fan of this cup, however the addition of new team is very exciting . 3? Not much of a pre season these days with the Betfred Cup groups.

John Martin ex Raith and East Fife and quite a few junior sides was the "big chap" you mention. Aye it was a well merited win for Shippy. Men against boys really but no Cowden fan would have begrudged Shippy their "moment in the sun". Spoke to a few of the Shippy folk at the Fife FA AGM last night nice folk and it did mean a big deal to them winning the cup.
