I imagine he'll be a good signing for East Fife. He's a player I've always liked, someone who'll always get stuck in and graft for his team. His performance in the 1-0 win over Stranraer midway through the season was the best individual performance I've seen from a Stenhousemuir player in a long time, he was everywhere on the pitch and chipped in with a winning goal. However, Millar is a lot better without the ball than he is with it. He's an instinctive player and doesn't seem to know what he's doing when he has time and space. There were many occasions during the season where he would hook the ball up the park rather than putting his foot on it. He's also a very shy guy too, maybe painfully so, so don't expect him to order his team-mates around the pitch. His departure will be a blow but if Nathan Blockley can reclaim his form at Airdrieonians from a couple of years ago we've got a like-for-like replacement in there. Barry Smith is clearly getting the midfield put together early for next season. Millar sounds like he'd fit in to the way we played last season pretty well. We played a midfield 5 but didn't really have that out-and-out 'destroyer' in the middle of the park. Sounds like he'd complement the likes of Kyle Wilkie, Kevin Smith, Paul Willis pretty well.
Am Featha Taigh Nan Clach
Millar is a good League 1 midfielder. Despite being a defensive type midfielder, he's not in the traditional DM mould like an Iain Thomson or Jon Robertson. I've no idea how much there is in the Longworth rumours, but if true, we'd be looking extremely strong
Neilly
Longworth and McGuigan would run amok in this league. I would imagine there must be some credibility in it as of the 4 names I was given there was literally confirmation of 2 of them 10 minutes later.

Fraser kerr is in a relegated team, he'd walk into our team, so will cook. Settle. In the running, but walk into our team is a bit far. Hopefully Longworth can get a good run and bang in the goals. Still capable.

Francesc Fabregas
There's Kieran Millar to East Fife confirmed. He's a player I really liked and I hope he does his new club a very good turn next season.
beaver1
Disappointing. Although the manager who has just signed him looks like he is about to leave!

Francesc Fabregas
Having seen the subject broached on the big Alloa Athletic thread, does anyone have any idea what we're doing for kits next season? Will we be playing in something new and good looking? Or will the shitty, tired Prostar efforts be making their third consecutive outing?
beaver1
Mitre. Basic maroon top. No frills whatsoever.
Cooper81
Blockley is a good signing for Stenhensmuir. Nathan was a good player for Airdrie and the change managers seen Nathan move on to Peterhead for whatever reason he didn't play much at Peterhead and I would imagine the travelling didn't help.

Francesc Fabregas
Nice one. Is that white piping on the shoulders and down the hips? It's not a real head-turner but it is an infinite upgrade on those goddamn Prostar efforts.
Am Featha Taigh Nan Clach
I just saw the pic on Twitter. It looks pretty cheap. Like a high school U14's top

Armand 2
This story blindsided me this morning when I read it on the BBC gossip page and thought it might have been of interest to Stenny fans. Rangers Eye Norwich Recruitment Chief Wasn't he involved in a car park brawl after a game once following an altercation during the match? Either way, fair play to the fella - although identifying Tony Andreu isn't quite the discovery seeing as he was playing well for Livi the previous season.
