Duns Fan
They need to expand EOS. Get more teams involved. I asked before but got no response - what is the criteria for playing EOS? Totally agree with this post. I am sure hibee jibee could help us out with the entrance criteria?
Alba Athletic FC
Stick to the amatrs Surely if you have a third fixture in the league then you could split costs, of have a super weekend where you approach a suitable neutral venue, and host 2 games on Saturday and 2 on Sunday, just a thought. Wow that was a thoughtful and intellectual post. I must apologise for offending you. Nizzy
old speckled hen
They need to expand EOS. Get more teams involved. I asked before but got no response - what is the criteria for playing EOS? Clubs that are already in don't really have to do anything more but for those looking to get in I think to start with you need to have your last 3 years accounts in order then the ground criteria is now pretty similar to that required by the SFA for membership. An enclosed ground, a rail round the pitch, pitch must be available to your club on match days for the whole season, changing facilities to a certain standard and probably more stuff. Enclosing the ground is well beyond most amateur clubs and rules them out straight off.

HibeeJibee
Southern Reporter saying it's 1 division of 16 clubs next season. Says that clubs were deadlocked at 8 votes for each option. Easthouses has resigned. http://www.thesouthernreporter.co.uk/sport/football/east-of-scotland-league-to-become-one-division-of-16-clubs-1-3800630?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed The Southern Reporter Sport Football The East of Scotland Football League has today confirmed a restructure which means next season’s championship will consist of one division of sixteen clubs. The decision was made by the board following last night’s annual general meeting after a vote among members clubs proved inconclusive. Premier Division runners-up Easthouses Lily resigned as members to join the junior ranks, which left 16 clubs. The season just finished had a nine-team Premier Division, and an eight-team First Division. All 16 clubs voted, eight of them favouring for two divisions and eight preferring one division. The decision effectively means Coldstream have been saved from relegation after finishing bottom of the Premier Division. League chairman Tom Allison said: “Last night the board met and had a long discussion and considered all the options available. “The decision taken was not an easy one to make as we know that not all clubs are in favour of this. “We asked the clubs at the AGM for an indication of what their view was and we had a 50/50 split. “This meant the decision would have to be taken by the board. “We feel that by having just one division it will generate more interest in the League. “Taking this decision will allow us to create more interest in the league whilst looking at ways to improve and develop the league for future seasons. “I believe that this decision is in the best interest of all members of the East of Scotland Football League at this current time.” The new season will kick off on the August 1, 2015. Fixtures will be issued within the next few weeks. Edited June 12, 2015 by HibeeJibee

Burnie_man
what teams would get into juniors and have the ground to pass Theres two vacancies in the East Region South Division Juniors if anyone fancies joining Easthouses Dunno, but compare it to Easthouses and you'll be close, floodlights not required but enclosed ground, barrier around the pitch, and dressing rooms in close proximity (or inside) the boundary fence. Not too much more than that. A lot less onerous than a club licence.
