After the midweek trip to Freiburg last December have now been to all current BL1 stadiums ( in the away end apart from H96 obviously). Best to visit, in my opinion, would be Frankfurt & Stuttgart. Easy to reach from the main train station, with good views from the away end. Westfalen Stadion & Allianz Arena are obviously good stadiums, but shite days out. Likely to get humped, home fans in the away end, plus in particular as regards the Allianz Arena next to eff all on the way up to the stadium from Fröttmanning station. Worst away ends are Bremen & Freiburg. As regards next season in BL2, would definitely go to Paderborn (if they don‘t get promoted), Kiel, Regensburg, Bochum, Magdeburg & Duisburg (if not relegated). Have been to Magdeburg before but only for a pre-season tournament. For those coming up from the dritte Liga then VfL Osnabrück (had seen them in the 4th tier Regionalliga Nord, some years back when they played against local team GSC08 Goslar in Goslar). Wehen if they do it. Was in Halle 3 years ago for a pre-season game. Was a bit of pavement dancing (as is unfortunately still a regular occurrence at a good few former East German clubs), had to switch to dumb, lost tourist mode to get out of a police cordon.
Brummie Clyde
Karlsruhe 4 points clear of Wehen Wiesbaden in 3rd spot, with 3 games left. Just hope we don't bottle it.

Have noticed at Dortmund that, for clubs with a smaller away following, they tend to punt them to the seats in the upper tier and open the away terrace in the lower tier for home fans. Do they do this for H96?
Todd_is_God
Paderborn slip up tonight in Bielefeld, opening the door once again for Union Berlin and Hamburg to move above them this week. Paderborn v Hamburg next round promises to be a peach of a game.
Todd_is_God
In the Regionalliga NordOst Optik Rathenow are poised to pull off an escape or Albion Rovers-esque proportions following a 2-1 win over Altglienicke this evening. Despite being about 12 points behind then second bottom Neugersdorf little over 2 months ago, Budissa Bautzen picking up 3 points all year has allowed them to get off bottom. Bautzen lost last weekend despite leading entering injury time so will be interesting to see how that pans out.

Brummie Clyde
Karlsruhe win and are 4 points clear in 2nd, with 2 games left. Could be in the same division as Hamburg next year.

GNU_Linux
Bottling getting promoted from the 2nd tier despite being the biggest club in the divison. Alot in common with their Govan cousins.
German Jag
After last weeks win was back to losing ways for H96 with a 3-1 defeat in Munich.Managed to hold out for 27 minutes, then some non-existent marking allowed Lewandowski to put the home team in front. Munich doubled their lead with a well placed strike from Goretzka just before 1/2 time.H96 got a goal back via a penalty from Jonathas in the 51st minute. Jonathas then collected a yellow card for his over zealous attempts at getting the ball out the net & back up to the centre spot. H96 then down to ten men 4 minutes later after a very soft red card for Jonathas. Thereafter it was a case of waiting for the 3rd from Bayern which was duly scored by substitute Ribery with 5 minutes to go.With Stuttgart & Nuremberg both losing then H96 are still not officially relegated.Next up, last home game of the season against Freiburg.

GNU_Linux
Just turned on Leverkusen vs Frankfurt & the chemists are up 4-1 already with less than 30 played.

Nightmare
And then nothing else happened. Not entirely convinced that Frankfurt going all-in for the Europa League when they're in with a very good chance of finishing in the Champions League positions is the right decision.
Fuctifano
No-one seems to want the 2nd promotion spot in BL2 with Paderborn, Union, and Hamburg all losing. Koeln can clinch promotion with a draw and the title with a win tonight.

I was at Hertha v Stuttgart on Saturday and Stuttgart could very easily contrive to get themselves relegated if they play like that. Not just a lack of confidence but basic competence. Only looked like putting up a fight once Gomez came on, and that was against a pretty pedestrian Hertha. I hadn't seen a lot of Stuttgart this season but can definitely see why they are in the position they are in.

Limp, submissive, extremely relegatable.Mind you having seen the 2nd-4th BL2 toiling themselves they might find an undeserved lifeline in the playoffs.
