lichtie23
Just back from what was an enjoyable trip to Bremen, which had an absolute sh!te performance by H96 in the middle. The 4-1 defeat virtually confirms that Hannover will be plying their trade in the BL2 next season. Inabilty to complete passes, plus god awful defending. Karaman's goal, right on the stroke of half-time, to make it 2-1 gave a false sense of hope going into the 2nd half which was promptly snuffed out. Next up, home to Cologne. I enjoy reading you're reports and seeing the pics you take

I enjoy reading you're reports and seeing the pics you take If still living in the Hanover region then yes. Only stadiums I've been to of the current BL2 clubs are St. Pauli (25 years ago) & 1860 Munich (for games against Bayern). Kick-off times in the BL2 are sometimes problematic, eg away on Friday and/or Monday at the other end of the country.

underdogunderdog underdog
Prob a simple answer to this...but how do you post a picture(from your phone)? If you use the app then expand the quick reply option, select the three dotted lines at top of your screen and there is an option to 'attach picture'

jmothecat
Is it irritating having a huge net in the way of the pitch or do you not really notice it?
Ross.
Is it irritating having a huge net in the way of the pitch or do you not really notice it? Don't really notice the nets, but some of the grounds here still have big fucking fences at the bottom as well. They can ruin your view if you can't move far enough back.
German Jag
Is it irritating having a huge net in the way of the pitch or do you not really notice it?In Bremen, the away fans are located above a couple of sections of home fans. The net in the photos is to prevent beer tumblers etc. hitting the people below, and since I was in the 2nd row seem quite prominent, but don't really affect what you can see. The nets strung along the bye-line at all grounds to prevent the ball going into the crowd don't detract in any way at all.
German Jag
Did you go to paddys pit next to the train station Very good pub Had noticed it when coming out the train station, but never ventured in. Was staying over in Bremen and avoided the train station area after the game. No extra trains were put on, and with in excess of 4,000 looking to get back to Hannover, the area would have been mobbed with fans and police.

Ross.
Fantastic, rare now, snowy conditions for this Freiburg v RB Leipzig match just now. Freiburg won 2-1. Puts them 3 points of Leipzig at the top with 9 games left.
Dave1875
Utter tragedy at the Dortmund game, fan suffered a heart attack during the first half and died. Second fan suffered a heart attack and died on the way to hospital. Dortmund fans remained silent for the rest of the game before signing You'll Never Walk Alone to which the Mainz fans joined in

Desert Nomad
Superb first half in Gelsenkirchen, Gladbach should really be ahead against Schalke, 0-0 HT.
Desert Nomad
Comic own goal, Schalke ahead after being pummeled.
Desert Nomad
Can't believe Gladbach lost that game. Schalke did virtually nothing the entire game, played off the park, yet win due to comic own goal and deflection. Football is crazy at times.
German Jag
Early evening game for H96 against fellow strugglers Frankfurt yesterday, and with Hoffenheim picking up 3 points in Hamburg earlier, then the need for a H96 win was increased a notch. Not to be however. A Ben Atira A. goal, slotted in from a very tight angle after some chronic defending was enough to give Frankfurt all 3 points. H96 now cast adrift at the bottom, 10 points away from both 2nd & 3rd last. Still 7 games to go, H96 have still to play Berlin, Gladbach, Schalke & Bayern though, so null points from those games. Frankfurt itself isn't the most interesting of German cities, but an away day at Eintracht is one of the better days out in the BL. Nice tight stadium which generates a lot of noise and good atmosphere. Easy to get to, being just 2 stops on a local train from Frankfurt main station. And also has full-strength beer on sale in the away end.
