Accies1
That was a cracking finish. I feel Hamburg fill the banter role of German football, much like Falkirk do in Scotland.

Certainly highly entertaining viewing but both teams took the 'no defending please' trope of German football to parody levels.
Accies1
Anyone know if Sky Sports are showing the Dusseldorf vs. Hertha game tonight, I can't find anything online so I'm not optimistic.

If you‘ve got a VPN, point your browser to www.sport1.de . They are the official broadcaster / streamer for all Saturday night BL2 games.

Accies1
@German Jag is there a story behind Elversberg? Can't say they're a side I'd ever heard of until last season, do they have financial backing or have they just over performed to get to where they are?

Not really, have gone up & down between tier 4 and the 3. Liga the past 25 years. Have been responsible for a couple of DFB Pokal upsets, putting out both Bayer Leverkusen & St. Pauli in the 1st round in recent years. As regards financial backing, the club president is the CEO of Ursapharm, their main sponsor and holder of the naming rights to their stadium. Can't see any signs of splashing the cash on transfers though. Will be cutting down on the number of away games this season, but will be looking to make the trip to ELversberg.
Brummie Clyde
Good start for Karlsruhe, winning away to Osnabruck. Home to Schalke next though.
German Jag
Having disposed easily of Villareal 3-0 in a friendly, the previous week, hopes were up for a good start to the season, hosting BL2 debutants SV Elversberg. Nothing doing however as Elversberg took a deserved 0-2 lead. Teuchert with a penalty just before 1/2 time & Tresoldi made it 2-2. Crowd of just over 29.000. Sunny day plus the Maschsee-Festival right next door will have put s couple extra bums on seats. Have changed the ST for this season. Legs are getting old, so prefer the sitting option for 90 mins.
Craig fae the Vale
Any reason the Hertha game is on Sky Sports Football YouTube rather than on the actual channel? Not like there's anything else going on just now.

Terrible start to the campaign for Hertha.
