Clftonville go into meltdown after a right good 3-0 pumping by Linfield that ended their season, (just to get Belfast ***** really wound up). Two sent off and ex Falkirk defender Johnny Flynn was spitting at and abusing Linfield fans. Great stuff Reds.

That said, the vast majority of their fans on ILF were very sporting (seriously).

Other games, Glenavon beat 10 man Loughgall, 10 man Portadown lose at home to Lurgan Celtic, no doubt hastening Ronnie's departure and Crusaders have no bother from Carrick.

I'm sorry and I know this has probably been asked before but why are you calling the NI Prem as the Failed Statelet?

"The Failed Statelet" is a put down used by NI bashers on any of the NI related threads on the General Nonsense Forum, which we edgy folk who live in/are from Northern Ireland have adopted as a badge of honour.

If you want to you could read said NI threads on the GN Forum for background. Or again, maybe not!

And could see Linfield gain three points on the wee Crues......... :thumsup2

Hope they investigate them twice, then we'll be right back in it.

If it benefits Linfield I'm sure the IFA will find a way.....

Not completely surprised the Ports are being investigated tbh, over the years they've had very high earning players, going back a bit I believe the likes of Gary Haylock and Vinny Arkins were on 2k plus a week, god knows how they managed that.

Haylock left Linfield because Portydown were paying indeed £2,000 a week.

As for the IFA helping Linfield, where do you think your new stadium is coming from when the Glens don't have a pot to piss in? :thumsup2

I think it's clear from the "expert" posters on here that the money for the stadiums has all been paid for by Scottish oil and if it wasn't for us "Waste of resource Failed Statleters" every hospital in Scotland would have at least 10 life support machines ,probably in childerens hospitals too. :P

We got all these shiny new stadiums as a reward because we had (mostly) stopped slaughtering each other.

Not too hopeful for todays game and sadly can see Jefferys influence at Ballymena means the Crues could drop points and Linfield close the gap, the next Ballymena v Linfield match will be interesting right enough...just checked it's not until next season, rather pish really :thumbsdown

David Jeffrey gets his Ballymena career off to a good start, with a 0-0 draw a Seaview, only their third clean sheet in the league this season. I was listening to his post match interview on Radio Ulster, came across very well. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35794583

And that helped his old team, as Linfield closed the gap, courtesy of the 3-0 win alluded to above by AFJ.

Coleraine won 1-0 at Portadown, and Glenavon won 3-1 at Warrenpoint, the Lurgan Blues are finishing the season strongly.

Dungannon get a late draw at Stangmore against Cliftonville, 2-2, after the Reds are reduced to 10 men, Carrick and Ballinamallard draw 1-1 (at Solitude). According to the radio, both sides seemed happy to settle for a point from an early stage. Carrick not happy about having to play at Solitude.

Derry City's post match stewarding leaves a bit to be desired!

I'm not entirely sure if it's football related, looks like Cork fans may have been caught up in a gang battle.
