The-coo-shed
Really good match. Enjoyed that. There is a very good player in Norrie somewhere. Just lacks some real firepower. Always enjoy watching him play.
MONKMAN
Likely face Thiem next, which will be a massive test, to see where he’s actually at right now.
Loki
Some great tennis played to make the quarter final, more importantly gets a days rest before facing Thiem. This will be Andy’s first match against a top 10 player since that Wawrinka match in the French that left both players fucked.Thiem will either blast him off the court or drop errors here they and everywhere. Thiem a big favourite, but you never know. All that seems to be missing is a bit of strength, fitness and confidence in his shot making. All encouraging so far.A close season training block like 14 into 15 when Mauresmo was coach could see him a contender for Masters again. Slams will solely depend on his body

MONKMAN
Backed Thiem at 8/15 this morning, can’t see anything other than an easy win. Hope I’m wrong but feel it’s a step too far at the moment.
Distant Doonhamer
Backed Thiem at 8/15 this morning, can’t see anything other than an easy win. Hope I’m wrong but feel it’s a step too far at the moment. Thiem wins in straight sets. 2nd set went to a tie break. Definite signs of progress for Murray recently
MONKMAN
He didn’t really get going in the first. Looked a lot better in the second, just that bit off the pace. Shanghai next week, so hopefully get a few more sets under his belt. Looks reasonably promising so far.
John Lambies Doos
Looking good for Andy. Looks like he will come through this, decent tough workout...
AUFC90
Has the potential to get absolutely destroyed by Fognini tomorrow. Hopefully not.
peasy23
Kyle Edmund lost, so will lose his place as British number one. Dan Evans will take over at the moment, but Norrie can beat him to it if he can manage another couple of wins.

TheScarf
Loses the first in a breaker. Will be tough to win 2-1 against the Italian from here imo.
The-coo-shed
Really good game from both players. Fognini looks the more likely to win, but you never know with him. Might explode at some point.
John Lambies Doos
This is brilliant from Murray. Would be great if he can win this at this stage of his comeback

The-coo-shed
Thought Fognini got to that! Huge chance.
The-coo-shed
Huge chance no.2. Fognini shouted as Murray went to hit away a volley. That's why he is pissed.
John Lambies Doos
This really is the old Murray. Love it... Struggling to get over line but resilient to the end. Welcome back mate, you've been sorely missed.
