Jim McLean's Ghost
BBC commentators smelling blood now. Stopped slagging the crowd and started backing our boy all the way. Slightly cringey tbh Edited February 1, 2014 by Jim McLean's Ghost

booitsme7
Ward breaks again and is 4-0 up in the last set. 8 games in a row for JAMES WARD.

IrishBhoy
Well done James Ward. Some comeback, 8 games on the trot at one point.
Loki
Querrey was dead in that last set. Ward held it together very well, and played some excellent shots. Well deserved win. Murray will dismantle Querrey on that clay surface. I dare say Ward will beat Young as well.
true_rover
What a result - superb comeback performance. 1 match away from the quarters - although my idea of going was short lived when I realised they clash with the Ramsdens Cup final!
true_rover
Surely the sensible option now is to rest Murray tomorrow given we have 2 doubles specialists. Would also give him some rest to give him the best opportunity to beat Querrey with less trouble.
AberdeenBud
Great performance, tremendous fightback! Agree should rest Andy tomorrow. Can't see Querrey troubling him though tbh.
printer
1 match away from the quarters - although my idea of going was short lived when I realised they clash with the Ramsdens Cup final! I'm sure that's a quandry many tennis fans are in now. Great effort from Ward. Up to how Andy feels re the doubles. He might just fancy a crack at the Bryans. I don't think it really matters either way.
morrison
Brilliant win for Ward last night. Hung in after a terrible start, played some great stuff and broke Querrey five times in a row after having no break points for 3.5 sets. Crazy stuff.
Reynard
Ward can be a right good player when it's clicking for him and it clicked like f**k in the fourth and fifth sets last night. So GB need a win in either the doubles (not likely) or for Murray to beat Querrey (likely). And into the quarter finals we go. Hugely impressed with Ward last night and Querrey's bottle absolutely crashed at the same time.
ChoppeReid
I don't actually know much about the Davies Cup. How far can GB go? With Nadal and Djokovic likely going out you have to fancy 2 points against anyone. Likely to pick up the third?
booitsme7
As I expected the Bryan brothers have won the doubles in 4 sets 6-2 6-3 3-6 6-1. 2-1 to GB and its now up to Murray to win this tie tomorrow.
Loki
Even if Murray loses I would expect Ward to have a very good chance to beat Young. Edited February 2, 2014 by Loki
H_B
We've had some stunning wins in the Davis Cup under Leon Smith - what a job he's done. Andy Murray is not surprisingly virtually unbeatable, but the only reason we are here and in with a chance in the World Group is wins from Ward and Evans against much much higher ranked players. The USA are one of maybe only 2/3 countries we'd be second favourite in the doubles against, so if we get through this one we have a cracking chance of winning the thing provided Murray plays in all ties and we don't draw Spain away on the slowest clay courts in the world as they would go for. Love the Davis Cup.
TheGreenElves
The presenter in the half time analysis of the rugby said if Murray wins it will be " England's" first group win. p***k!
H_B
Actually, having checked, we'll do very well to play Spain, given they've been knocked out. The Swiss in the bottom half look the problem. Can see Federer wanting maybe one last chance to win it. Him and Wawrinka would be strong favourites against GB of course.
