Arbroath vs Montrose

I'm not criticising in any shape or form in fact I think it's brilliant doing the bouncy singing along banging there drums and the latest taps aff celebrations all adds up to a great atmosphere.Looking at my original post I can see why my comments have been misconstrued I was only trying to get across maybe why the overkill from the police was instigated because if anything I'm criticising them for their decision to assume because of the name ultras they have decided to be a bit heavy on the policing so my intention was to suggest that they remove any doubt on the matter.

Won't make any difference. Cops, stewards and indeed the media live for any off the field misdemeanours at the football.

We played Annan away a few years ago and our match was "upgraded to category A match" simply because someone posted on here about bringing pyrotechnics (it was done in jest, a simpleton could have seen that). Included an hilariously failed escort from the train station as the trains were fecked up.

More to the point, the stereotyping is absolutely stauner-fodder. Burberry scarves caused Heysel.....aye. This bullshit about Italian ultras only out for 'trouble'......a great many of these hooligans choreograph the flags and banners and vocal at these games which makes them as watchable as some of the football. Not to.mention the Barras Bravas in Argentina. They're in the ground at 8am, and are deemed an important facet of matchday activity. If you haven't seen the video of Hernanes' car being blocked at the training ground by a dozen Lazio fans not wanting him to leave for Inter, i suggest this Philip looks it up. Reminiscent of scraping the prostrate Paddy Keogh off the Glebe Park turf. By all means enjoy your pre-heated pork pies and tartan rug, but judge not lest ye etc...

Well informed comment. Compared to some of the "tumbleweed" days we've had at Gayfield over the last few seasons, Saturday was a breath of fresh air.
