People are either pro-trident or anti-trident. I've never understood the hysteria over the pointless 'would you be prepared to use it?' question.

Right. It's a completely spurious argument.

Nuclear weapons only exists as a first-fire option. And the only scenario in which it could be used is if a rogue state is preparing to use them against us. So you get a vicious circle in which the existence of nuclear weaponry is either a defensive or offensive manoeuvre. The nuclear dilemma.

Everything good about this country was delivered by a labour government

Nationalists/UKIP(same) might find that hard to believe right enough

Yip, all the blood on Tony Blairs hands made giving a pint then enjoying a biscuit and a cup o tea a thing o the past.

The leader of the Labour Party has become vice-president of a group whose aims go directly against Labour Party policy.

All a bit bizarre. Why did they chicken out of having a vote on this at conference? Everyone knows Corbyn is anti-Trident, I would guess most the membership is, it's one of increasingly few things on a membership level that unites the moderates and the leftists in the party, yet it seems like we are too scared to actually be officially against it, for reasons unknown.

Yeah and this country has been on a downwards spiral for how many decades?

Safe to say those responsible for the great things in this country will be spinning in their graves at the state of the Labour Party ?
