BerwickMad
People are either pro-trident or anti-trident. I've never understood the hysteria over the pointless 'would you be prepared to use it?' question.
Savage Henry
People are either pro-trident or anti-trident. I've never understood the hysteria over the pointless 'would you be prepared to use it?' question. Right. It's a completely spurious argument. Nuclear weapons only exists as a first-fire option. And the only scenario in which it could be used is if a rogue state is preparing to use them against us. So you get a vicious circle in which the existence of nuclear weaponry is either a defensive or offensive manoeuvre. The nuclear dilemma.

jmothecat
The leader of the Labour Party has become vice-president of a group whose aims go directly against Labour Party policy. All a bit bizarre. Why did they chicken out of having a vote on this at conference? Everyone knows Corbyn is anti-Trident, I would guess most the membership is, it's one of increasingly few things on a membership level that unites the moderates and the leftists in the party, yet it seems like we are too scared to actually be officially against it, for reasons unknown.
