mclaren11
Was just wondering if its possible for an amateur player to move up to juniors? And what would be the best way to go about it? Would love the chance to try move up. Might not be good enough but i'll never know till i try it. I know at the moment i'm not fit enough due to lack of games as i had been working saturdays. But completely willing to put in the hard work to become fit enough and good enough. Just need the opportunity.

No it's completely impossible, and is in fact highly illegal.

I don't think this boy is an amateur player at all.......in fact he'd be lucky if he can even spell amateur!
cmontheloknow
If you have permission from your club, contact details are here for all clubs. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/sjfa/football_document_libraries.cfm?page=1832 Maybe contact a club secretary and request your contact details be passed to the manager to arrange attending training. mclaren11
Which position do you prefer. Play right midfield but only because i picked it when i was younger and played there since. So might be better at playing somewhere else.

Enquire if you can train with Gartcairn. Good luck.

rigano
I would suggest that not playing many amateur games because you have been working Saturdays.... isn't the best way to approach junior football...

cmontheloknow
Why not head along to a game on sat and gauge the standard? Also, plenty of games on youtube to see.
