Fair play to the Ayr support, decent turn-out at this level for a midweek winter away game. Pity the team couldn't live up to it - thoroughly merited win for Cowden as everyone else has observed. Nice to see Spence doing well, and even Gordon Smith.

Decent game overall. Ref had a good game too.

Bit embarrassing the townies trying to invent a title race.

The only full time team with a far far bigger support and probably as many season ticket holders as the rest of the league put together.

Still you massively overspend to try and buy your way out of the part time league. Basically just Rangers wannabes.

Ayrs defence is just as p1sh as the the other part time teams defences and if you don't win this league by a mile then there's something wrong.

When you do, remember to gloat and celebrate wildly, after all it will be a monumental achievement.

Taxi for a fanny! This photo should just about tip you over the edge you absolute walloper Lol ............

What about his post is incorrect? You have spent a lot in order to get out this league.

Pretty much all of it is wildly inaccurate, and clearly the rantings of a bitter Cowdenbeath fan.

We haven't "massively overspent", in fact the club is now operating within its means; if by "massively overspent" you mean in relation to Cowden, it is hardly DAFC's fault that our local rivals are akin to a pub team and with a pathetic support to boot.

Dare I suggest the only thing "massive" is the chip on big Al's shoulder?

Not really bothered about what anyone else spends but didn't not have a massive loss last season?

I thought that too. Maybe Dunfermline fans just want to ignore. If Rangers and Hibs get promoted, it won't look good for Dunfermline.

We did indeed have a big loss last season, it was budgeted for due to us having the money in the bank. Someone will have a better grasp of the financial jargon that accompany the financial reports will be able to give you a more detailed account though.

We're due to run at a much smaller loss this year if things go to plan. What do you mean by that it won't look good if Rangers and Hibs get promoted?

Think he means crowd wise, realistically you won't be getting much higher crowds in the Championship than you do here if they both go up.

Having the two derby games with Falkirk and Raith will be nice, hopefully if they do both go up Dundee Utd come down, they usually bring a solid 1000 away fans, the likes of St Mirren and potentially Killie usually bring around 500 each, nothing massive but a good amount. We've spent a pretty high proportion of our existence in the second tier I'd imagine, if we can't run the club effectively at that level we'd be aswell going home.

We're almost lucky that Ayr have got there act together this year, they might in turn bring some more away fans to the next game at EEP, if they hadn't been then the biggest away support of this season would've been however many Cowdenbeath bring on Saturday.
